July has been a month of changes and new opportunities! Like I had mentioned in the last newsletter for the next few months we will be focusing on the things we learned as a High School Youth
Group while at CIY back in the month of June. The second day was focused on “I can trust God will provide, because he is real!” While this is something as a group we learned in June this fact was something that we saw put into action this last week at High School Camp at Hidden Haven in Thayer, Kansas.
We had 120 awesome High School students there the last week of Summer camp, and they were all
on fire for God! For the whole summer we as a camp decided to support two awesome people named Allen and Marylin Todd. They are seeking to be missionaries in Australia. We challenged the students to a minimum of $1000 as a camp, but then we rewarded them with crazy things for $1500 or if they were to
get to $2000. On the last day we didn't think we were going to get there, but when we woke up on Friday we were at $1200 and knew that we were to close to leave it alone. So we challenged the students to one last push for the total. The students ended up raising $1746 for missions! At breakfast they raised $546, and
made commitments to supporting these two awesome people monthly for their mission to Australia. We saw in a very tangible way that the God that we all love and put our trust in truly is a God that Provides when we need him to, and the reason is because he is real!
What in your life this month are you needing God to show up in a real tangible way? Are you
looking for those things in your life that clearly have to be God providing and not anything else? Do you believe that God is real, a because he is real he provides for his children? I believe in a God that loves his kids so much that not only does he provide us things we need in our regular life, but he also provides the
greatest of all gifts. The gift of eternal salvation! What stories do you have in your life that you can show to those around you that God is real, because he provides! I hope you find some stories to brag on God over!
