What Is FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink?
It’s a small device that gives drivers big benefits when it comes to control of your vehicle functionality from anywhere, anytime, as well as vehicle health, connectivity, safety, security and efficiency.
It works with the FordPass/The Lincoln Way™ smartphone apps to conveniently place extreme vehicle functionality in the palm of your hand. If you choose, you can also share important vehicle service data with your dealership, allowing your Ford or Lincoln Service Team to help ensure your vehicle’s health and maintenance at all times.
How it WorksFordPass/Lincoln SmartLink uses telematics to connect your vehicle to your smartphone. Telematics is a type of information technology that deals with long-distance data transmission. It’s used to transmit information from the vehicle’s OBD-II port to the cloud, where it connects to your smartphone and to Ford to increase your control, access to vehicle health information, safety, security and driving efficiency.co n t i n u e d o n n ext p a ge

Added ConnectivityAs an option, FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink can also provide additional connectivity for you and your passengers. Wi-Fi is a wireless local area network. It allows computers and personal devices such as smartphones, tablets and gaming consoles to connect to the Internet without a hardwired connection such as Ethernet. If you purchase the optional Wi-Fi package, you can create a mobile 4G wireless hotspot in your vehicle to check email, download photos, stream music and more.
Choose My Dealer for Added Peace of MindAn extra benefit of FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink is the My Dealer option. If you select your dealership in the app, your pertinent vehicle health data will be sent to the Service Department. That way, Ford-trained Technicians help keep an eye on your vehicle health, interpreting diagnostic codes and helping prevent major repairs. Better informed, they’re also ready and able to get you back on the road as quickly as possible when necessary.

Access FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink in the FordPass and
The Lincoln Way apps1. If you haven’t done so, choose the app that
matches your vehicle brand (FordPass or The Lincoln Way) and download it from the Apple® App® Store or Google Play™ store.
2. From the FordPass or Lincoln Way Dashboard, select My Vehicles, then select Add Vehicle.
3. Enter your vehicle VIN then check the Access FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink option.
4. A SmartLink option will appear on the dashboard. Select it and log in to your account with the username and password that you received from your Dealer.
If you already have FordPass or Lincoln Way on your smartphone, select Account to check the Access FordPass/Lincoln SmartLink option.

We suggest you read it thoroughly. Should you have any questions, please contact the FordPass and Lincoln SmartLink Customer Assistance Center at 844-589-0059. FordPass or Lincoln SmartLink Telematics may cause some SYNC features to become non-functional, including, but not limited to, SYNC Services, Vehicle Health Report and 911 Assist. Devices Covered: This Warranty covers the FordPass SmartLink and Lincoln SmartLink Telematics devices obtained directly from a Ford or Lincoln dealer. There is no warranty for devices provided by or obtained through any reseller of the device. Length of Warranty: The Warranty on the device is in effect for a period of two (2) years from the date of activation. Who is Covered: This Warranty only covers the original purchaser for the device installed in covered vehicles, as long as the vehicle resides in the United States. If there is a problem, and your warranty is in effect, Delphi will, at its option, replace the device with a new or reconditioned device without charge, if repairs are covered by the Warranty. If the original device is not returned, you will be responsible for the full retail cost of the replacement device.
