Design Philosophy:
As a designer I follow a design philosophy “Simplicity Design” which is used to help bring out the true essence of design. Philosophy is strongly influenced by my Asian modesty and form aesthetics, and product functional relevance based on influence of my mixed cultural background.

ECO-V user / target market
Married•
With children•
College educated (graduate degree•
30-35 years old•
Annual household income $60,000 (us)•
Drives under 10 miles to work (intercity travel)•
Purchasing a home•
Environment: Taipei, Taiwan metropolitan city (densely populated)•
Looking to replace their scooter (space and flexibility : purchase driver)•
Willing to spend money on quality product (durability)•
Willing to try new products (convenience / saves money)•
Concerns: environmental and its effects on health•
Dislike using scooter in rainy and windy conditions•
Prefers his own transportation -vs- public (independence)•
Concerned about fuel consumption•
Young Professional
NEIL VINCENTI
ECO-VEducation level: bachelors degree or higher•
Household: average of 3 members•
Median annual household income (nt$): approx (2,283,333 - $70,000 (us$)•
Air pollution (majority of people wear cotton masks as filter)•
Space - lack of spaces for parking•
Transportation type: 5 to 1 (scooter out weight cars)•
Fuel efficiency importance: with gas pricing has peaked around $5.00 to $6.00• a gallon having a fuel efficient vehicle is ideal.
15.5 miles average distance driven to work•
Majority of families own automobile and scooter•
Fuel efficiency 80% purchase driver fro new purchases•
Top 3 improvements (scooter / car)• Scooter: more cargo space add protection from natural elements (rain / wind) add safety features cars: more Eco-friendly better fuel efficiency independent turning wheels for easy parking in tight spaces

ECO-Vuse scenario
Family of 3 commute to grocery store on• a scooter that is meant for 2 passenger.
Often times children are placed either • between the parents or in between the legs of the driver .
Once done family goes back to the • scooter to load the grocery.
Loads couple of bag under the seat com-• partment and rest is placed between the drivers legs on the floor.
Family has to deal with traffic conges-• tions and polluted air to and from grocery store.
Commuting drivers deal with (air pollu-• tion, noise pollution, natural elements, traffic, etc).
NEIL VINCENTI
ECO-Vopportunity
1. Lack of cargo spacelimited space on board, users gamble • by storing items between legs and other dangerous configuration.
2. Little or no safety features.accidents occur frequently and often • times serious. users deal with buses, cars, trucks • and other scooters in tight streets.
3. Scooters have low visibility.scooters small in size and low source • of lighting.scooters in rain and darkness low • visibility.
4. Minimal passenger space.families with 2 or more members • packing on to scooter that were meant to seat 2 passengers.frequent sight in Asia and unsafe•
5. Lack of protection (natural elements)based on the research majority of • user face with poor weather condition, such as rain and wind.
6. lack of air purifying devices or systems.
Asian cities air quality being below • standards and health isues.
