Principle of pull-offcouplingThe connection is self-locking whenmade, and disconnection is effected sim-ply by pulling axially. A locking ring canbe shifted over the snap-in lock to in-crease the force needed to disconnect.

MC empfiehlt ELPRESS sechskant Crim-pung. Die MC Crimphülsen und die vonELPRESS gelieferten Gesenke sind aus-gelegt für das Crimpen flexibler Leiterder Klasse 6 1). Durch den vermehrtenEinsatz von Klasse 5 1) Leitungen mit ge-ringerer Flexibilität und somit geringeremLeiterdurchmesser (z.B. H07RN-F), wur-de die bestehende Baureihe durch eine,für diese Leitungen abgestimmte Baurei-he mit angepasster Crimphülse ergänzt.Die neuen Crimphülsen garantieren so-mit einwandfreie Verbindungen bezüg-lich Übergangswiderstand und Ausreiss-festigkeit.

Hints on crimping withcrimping sleeves

MC recommends ELPRESS hexagonalcrimping. The MC crimping sleeves sup-plied by ELPRESS are designed forcrimping class 6 1) flexible conductors.In response to the increased use ofclass 5 1) conductors with lower flexibil-ity and therefore a smaller conductor di-ameter (e.g. H07RN-F), a new series ofconnectors with a crimping sleeve spe-cially designed for these cables hasbeen added to the range. The newcrimping sleeves guarantee a perfectconnection in terms of both contact re-sistance and extraction strength ofcrimping sleeves.

Principe du verrouillagebaïonnette (Système-BV)

Steckvorgang:Zum Stecken müssen sich die Markie-rungen auf dem Stecker und der Buchseaxial gegenüberstehen. Steckverbindungbis zum Anschlag zusammenstecken,dann mit axialem Druck tiefersteckenund gleichzeitig nach rechts drehen 1)

(vom Stecker aus in Steckrichtung gese-hen), bis die Verriegelung einrastet.

Trennvorgang:Zum Lösen die Steckverbindung zu-nächst axial tieferstecken und gleichzei-tig nach links drehen 1) (vom Stecker ausin Steckrichtung gesehen), bis sich dieMarkierungen axial gegenüberstehen.Stecker und Buchse trennen.

Achtung:Während dem Stecken und Trennen derSteckverbinder 10BV... und 16BV...muss der Anschluss stromlos sein, beiden Steckverbindern 30BV... muss derAnschluss vom Netz getrennt sein. DerSchutz gegen elektrischen Schlag mussdurch das Endprodukt gegeben sein.

Plugging procedure:The markings on the plug and sockethave to be lined up. Insert plug in withsocket to the stop then insert furtherwith axial pressure and turn simulta-neously 1) to the right (seen from theplug in the direction of insertion) untilthe bayonet lock engages.

Unplugging procedure:Push plug in further and turn simulta-neously 1) to left (seen from the plug inthe direction of insertion) until the mark-ings are lined up. Pull plug out ofsocket.

Caution:During connecting or disconnecting, the10BV... and 16BV... connectors must beat no load, the 30BV... connectors mustbe isolated from the power supply. Pro-tection against electric shock has to beprovided in the end-use product.

Phase d’embrochage:Aligner les marquages rapportés sur ladouille et la broche. Connecter les deuxparties jusqu’en butée, puis pousseraxialement tout en imprimant à l’unedes deux parties un mouvement de ro-tation relatif 1) vers la droite (vue de labroche en direction de l’embrochage).Relâcher. La connexion doit alors êtreverrouillée.

Phase de débrochage:Pousser l’une des deux parties dans l’axe,tout en lui imprimant un mouvement derotation 1) vers la gauche, (vue de labroche en direction de l’embrochage) desorte à aligner les marquages apposéssur les deux parties sur un même axe.Retirer la broche de la douille.

Attention:Pendant les phases d’embrochage oudébrochage, les connecteurs 10BV... et16BV... ne doivent pas être souscharge, les connecteurs 30BV... doiventêtre déconnectés du réseau. La protec-tion contre les chocs électriques doitêtre assurée par le produit final, à l’étatmonté.

MC Arretierungssystem(AR-System)

Das MC Arretierungssystem – (AR) –System funktioniert nach der Art einer“Push-pull-Kupplung” einer selbsttätigbeim Steckvorgang verriegelnden Schnell-kupplung, bei der die Entriegelung durcheinen axial verschiebbaren Kupplungsringerfolgt: zum Lösen erst drücken (push),dann ziehen (pull). Verschmutzte Teilesollten vor dem Stecken mit Industrieal-kohol gereinigt werden.

MC Locking system(AR-system)

The MC Locking system (AR) operateson the “push-pull” principle. It isself-locking when connected. Discon-nection is effected by an axiallydisplaceable coupling ring: first push,then pull to disconnect. Dirty partsshould be cleaned with industrial alcoholbefore connecting.

Die Leitung muss beim Crimpanschlusszum Steckverbinder passen, das heisstdie Cu-Einzelleiter sollen in der passen-den Crimphülse sicher halten und dieIsolation soll in der Kabelverschraubungdauerhaft fixiert sein.Um den unterschiedlichen flexiblenCu-Leitungstypen, (Klasse 5 und 6 nachIEC 60228, DIN VDE 0295) die auf demMarkt sind, gerecht zu werden, habenwir für die Ø 16mm Baureihe auch 2verschiedene Steckverbindertypen ent-wickelt.Der Unterschied zwischen der Klasse 5und der Klasse 6 liegt in der Flexibilität.Die Klasse 6 Leitungen haben eine hö-here Flexibilität, bedingt durch denkleineren Querschnitt der Einzellitzen.

In the case of crimp connection the leadmust match the plug connector, i.e. theindividual Cu wire strands should beheld firmly in the crimp sleeve and theinsulation should be permanently fixedin the screwed gland.To meet the requirements of the differentflexible Cu leads now on the market(class 5 and 6 according to IEC 60228DIN VDE 0295) for the 16mm series wehave also developed two different typesof plug connectors.The difference between class 5 andclass 6 lie in their flexibility. Class 6leads have greater flexibility due to thesmaller diameter of their individualstrands.

Höhere Steckzyklen stel-len besondere Anforderungen an dieOberfläche, die Führung und die Schmie-rung und bedingen immer spezielle Ab-klärungen und Sonderausführungen.

CrimpanschlüsseFür die Leiteranschlüsse empfehlen wirfür unsere Crimphülsen Sechskantcrim-pung. Dornkerbung ist möglich. UnsereCrimphülsen sind ausgelegt für hochfle-xible Cu-Leitungen. Mating cyclesThe maximum number of mating cyclesof standard connectors is between 1000and 5000, depending on duty conditions.Precondition is a thin film of lubricant onthe contacts prior to initial mating. Be-cause higher cycle numbers call for spe-cial surface treatment, guiding andlubrication measures, each case must beindividually investigated to establish therequired measures.

Crimp terminationsFor conductor connections, we recom-mend hexagonal crimping for our crimpsleeves. Afterwards the sleeve can benotched with a drift. Our crimp sleevesar designed for higly flexible Cu-conduc-tors. Special crimp sleeves are requiredfor other types of conductors. MC rec-ommends Elpress for all highly flexibleconductors.By the way: MC also manufactures leadand cable assemblies complete withconnectors!
