The advances have established a solid base to potential therapeutic approaches. This course will discuss clinical manifestations, physiopathology, rehabilitation, genetic aspects, management, as well as future directions in the field of ataxias and spastic paraplegias. This will be an interactive course with audience participation and patient videos on clinical cases.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES After participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:
• Recognize typical and less common forms of inherited ataxias and spastic paraplegias• Identify pathophysiology (pharmacologic, genetic and biochemical) of ataxias and spastic paraplegias• Acquire knowledge of pharmacological, rehabilitation and other treatment approaches on ataxias and
spastic paraplegias.
