FAMILY TO FAMILY
F2F
St. Raymond's Parish participates in the Diocesan F2F (Family to Family) parish-based ministry and we are looking for volunteers.
A small team of parishioners from various parishes volunteer their gift of time and talents to support a local family over 18 months.
Training is provided on poverty, purpose, process, understanding clients and teamwork and then we work together
as a team with our family.
The purpose of the Family-to-Family Partnership Program is to strengthen our community involvement and make a difference in
the lives of low-income families by helping them to become sustainable. Volunteers commit to seeing our family regularly and
meeting together to chart a course.
If you are interested in learning more about this special ministry, please call Marcia Parker at 925 518-9882 or via email

Singers and Instrumentalists Always Welcome!
As we prepare to enjoy the summer months ahead, it is actually a good time to plan for the fall and consider joining our Music Ministry as a singer or instrumentalist. No audition is required for singers. Just sign up, attend rehearsals and then join in at one (or more) of our six weekend Masses!
Instrumentalists interested in playing for our Masses must be able to read music and have a good proficiency in playing their woodwind, brass, string or percussion instrument. We can especially use pianists, acoustic guitars, flutes and hand percussion (congas, djembes, etc.).
Please contact Rob Lappa at 925-574-7447 or [email protected] to join a choir or to
audition as an instrumentalist.
Projectionists Needed
We are currently in need of more projectionists for all of our Masses. Our screens are the primary worship aid for Masses, which makes trained projectionists essential to our liturgies. All ages are welcome, but this is a particularly good opportunity for youth and teens to serve in a ministry while attending Mass. A working knowledge of Windows and MS Power Point is helpful, however some training will be provided.
Please contact Rob Lappa at 925-574-7447 or [email protected] for more details.
Backpacks and School Supplies Needed at SVDP
St. Vincent de Paul Alameda County is planning to distribute backpacks and school supplies to 200 children at our Back To School Open House on Saturday, August 23 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All backpacks and school supplies are needed by Wednesday, August 6 at the Community Center, 2272 San Pablo Avenue, Oakland. If you would like to donate financially, contribute supplies or volunteer at the event, please call 510.877.9254 or email [email protected] for more information and a list of the supplies needed by grade level.
Thank you for helping us insure that our children have the basic supplies to be successful.
