Page 1: Stevens Math Olympiad

The Stevens Math Olympiad is a mathematical competition for students grades 3-12 to solvecreative mathematical and logical problems, and to attract students to the joy and theexcitement of mathematics. Students will be presented 15 problems for 90 minutes in five divisions: grades 3-4, grades 5-6, grades 7-8, grades 9-10 and grades 11-12.

The Olympiad has the following goals:

+ To stimulate enthusiasm and a love for mathematics

+ To introduce important mathematical concepts

+ To strengthen mathematical intuition and to stimulate mathematical creativity and ingenuity

+ To introduce bright middle and high school students to Stevens Institute of Technology

This event is FREE, but participants are required to register.

The Stevens Math Olympiad serves as anoutreach activity that strives to support andshape the creation of permanent weekly mathematics and physics circles at Stevens,including future summer programs and camps.
