Isford Is Named 2015 Elisha Witt Good Citizenship Winner Kaylee Ray Isfort, daugh-terofJohnandDonnaIsfort,asenioratEstillCountyHighSchool was presented theGoodCitizenshipawardattheMarch21stmeetingoftheEli-shaWittChapterDAR. This award is given eachyearbytheElishaWittChap-ter of the Daughters of theAmerican Revolution. Thecontestisintendedtoencour-ageandrewardthequalitiesofgoodcitizenship.Thestudentselectedmusthavethequali-ties of dependability, service,leadership and patriotism.Kayleedescribedhowshehastriedtoshowthequalitiesofagoodcitizenwith thefollow-inganswer: “When people think ofmakingadifferencetheythinksomeonehastodosomethingmajorinordertomakeadif-ferenceofimpact.However,Idonotbelievethatyouhavetodoanythingelaboratetomakeadifferenceinyourschoolorcommunity. Ihavebeenabletoworkcloselywithmypeers

The Estill County Extension Council will meet Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. The Es-till County District Board will meet Thursday, April 9, 2015, at noon. Both meetings will oc-cur at the Estill County Extension office, 76 Golden Court, Irvine. Cooperative Extension meetings are open to the public.
