The Great Depression hit the United States hard after the booming economy of the 1920s.
Herbert Hoover never saw it coming and did little to encourage people and fix the problem.
It was not until Franklin Delano Roosevelt came into office that the nation saw change.
The New Deal provided temporary relief and boosted the morale of Americans.
When the US entered World War II, The Depression finally ended and the post-war economy was
booming once again.
