Medical Office Buildings, Interiors and Master Plan-ning. Chasm consistently designs quality buildings which add value to our cli-ent’s architectural experi-ence. “We consider ourselves a design firm and have re-cently completed the design of a multi-million dollar Col-legiate Living Development for Albany State University. This project is under con-struction and was designed in collaboration with LAS. We are a 100% minority owned firm but we are Architects first and offer excellent ser-vice to anyone looking for a phenomenal architectural experience”, says Clark.

Chasm Architecture compli-ments the business commu-nity of East Point by serving as a mentor for several youth who are considering Archi-tecture as their profession of choice. “African Americans represent less than 1% of the licensed Architects in Amer-

ica and it is important to be available to our youth who are interested in the built environ-ment”, says Clark. Each year Chasm visits a local school and offers a high school senior an internship with them. “This experience provides that young professional, an advantage that I never had when I was consid-ering my professional path. In most cases, all one needs is an opportunity. We will continue to offer these types of opportu-nities for our youth”, says Clark.

“I am often asked, “Why the name Chasm?” …Well, if you visit our website you’ll find an explanation of our existence, that will, hopefully, encourage you to join us as we endeavor to grow as a top tier architec-tural firm within this growing community”, says Clark.

Chasm Architecture strongly supports the Arts and Nathaniel is a published poet and is rec-ognized for his Spoken Word.

Mr. Nathaniel O. Clark, AIA, NCARB Owner, Chasm Architecture, LLC

Located on East Cleveland Ave., in the historic Buggy Works building (close to the East Point MARTA Station), Chasm Architecture is a full service architecture and inte-rior design firm.

The owner, Mr. Nathaniel O. Clark, chose East Point as their corporate headquarters because it is located in close proximity to downtown At-lanta and the Airport. The location allows them to meet clients, both in and out of state, without the hassles of negotiating heavy traffic. In addition, the loft design of their historic space, with its heavy timber construction and brick interior walls, of-fers a nice aesthetic for their staff and clients.

They currently have offices in three additional diverse markets; New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Nashville. Each office focuses on K-12, Higher Education, Corporate Architecture and Branding,

Many thanks to EP Cultural Enrichment Commission and Ben-jamin's of East Point (on Cleveland Avenue) for lending a helping hand with volunteers at "Destination East Point". Your volunteerism and energy helped make East Point a definite stop on the South Fulton "Tour de 29". -Sybil Robinson, EPMSA Volunteer Coordinator

The music was awe-some and it was so much fun to have such a cool ex-perience with the members of our community. Just want to let you know that we know a lot of hard work goes into these kind of events and we really appreciate it! “

“As new residents to the neighborhood, we have been blown away with how friendly everyone is, and especially with the terrific events we have already had an opportunity to take part in. We had a great meal with new friends at the park before enjoying our day touring some really interesting homes in the area. We made it downtown just in time for the fireworks (next

I think eve-ryone would agree these have been greatly anticipated by the community. Local neighborhoods have adopted sev-eral other “Pick a Point” sites. . .so look for more beautification projects soon!
