Everlasting God Brown/RileyStrength will rise as we wait upon the Lord

We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the LordStrength will rise as we wait upon the Lord

We will wait upon the Lord, we will wait upon the Lord

Our God You reign forever, our hope our strong Deliv’rer

You are the everlasting God, the everlasting GodYou do not faint, You won’t grow weary

You’re the defender of the weak, You comfort those in needYou lift us up on wings like eagles

Welcome and Preparation for WorshipCome, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milkwithout money and without price. Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread, and your labor for thatwhich does not satisfy? Listen diligently to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food. Incline your ear,and come to me; hear, that your soul may live; and I will make with you an everlasting covenant, my steadfast, sure lovefor David. ~Isaiah 55.1-3

Prayer of Adoration & Praise

Hymn of Praise

Jesus Shall Reign WattsJesus shall reign where’er the sun does His successive journeys run;

His kingdom stretch from shore to shore, till moons shall wax and wane no more.

To Him shall endless prayer be made, and praises throng to crown His head;His name, like sweet perfume, shall rise with every morning sacrifice.

Let every creature rise and bring peculiar honors to our King;Angels descend with songs again, and earth repeat the loud amen!

Reading of the Word Hebrews 12:1-3Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clingsso closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of ourfaith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of thethrone of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary orfainthearted.

The Lord Graciously Renews Us in ChristCall to Confession Isaiah 55:6-7“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteousman his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantlypardon.”

Confession of SinHoly Father, You have adopted us as Your children through faith in Your Son. Yet we confess we continue to sinagainst You by our thoughts, our words, and the way we live. We have been impatient, harsh, and proud. We havenot preferred You or others above ourselves. Forgive us, our Father, for the sake of Your Son. Holy Spirit, bear Yourfruit in us and give us grace, so that we may fully strive towards a new obedience to Christ's commandments. We askthis for the glory of God and the honor of Jesus Christ our Lord. ...Silent & Personalized Confession of Sin... Amen!

Worship with Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs

Immortal, Invisible StoryImmortal, You are not like a man

That You change Your mind or change Your plan.Invisible, our human eyes can't see

The depths of Your majesty.

You’re the God of forever and ever amen!The Alpha, Omega, Beginning and End.

We sing, “Hallelujah!” We worship in awe,Immortal, invisible God.

Immortal, You are not bound by death.You're the living God, my very breath.Invisible, You are not bound by space,

But Your glory is filling this place.Yes, Your glory is filling this place.

Immortal yet You once died for me,To pay my debt, to set me free.

Invisible, You will not always be,’Cause You’re coming to reign as our King,And the saints will fall down at Your feet.

Take My Life Havergal/TomlinTake my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days, let them flow in endless praise;

Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love.Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee;

Take my voice and let me sing, always, only for my King.Take my lips and let them be filled with messages from Thee;

Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold.Take my intellect and use every pow’r as Thou shalt choose.

Here am I, all of me. Take my life, it’s all for Thee.Take myself and I will be ever, only all for Thee.

Take my will and make it Thine, it shall be no longer mine;Take my heart, it is Thine own, it shall be Thy royal throne.

Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Thy feet its treasure store;Take myself and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

We Respond

What Wondrous Love Is ThisWhat wondrous love is this, O my soul, O my soul,

What wondrous love is this, O my soul!What wondrous love is this that caused the Lord of bliss

To bear the dreadful curse for my soul, for my soul,To bear the dreadful curse for my soul!

3 4, 5, & 6 year-old children may be dismissed before the sermon to Godly Play in room 173.4

When I was sinking down, sinking down, sinking down,When I was sinking down, sinking down,

When I was sinking down beneath God’s righteous frown,Christ laid aside His crown for my soul, for my soul

Christ laid aside His crown for my soul.

To God and to the Lamb, I will sing, I will sing,To God and to the Lamb I will sing;

To God and to the Lamb who is the great “I AM”,While millions join the theme, I will sing, I will sing,

While millions join the theme, I will sing!

The Lord Meets Us at His TableThe Sacrament of the Lord’s SupperCommunion, also called The Lord’s Supper or Eucharist, is the family meal of Christians. We invite all committedfollowers of Jesus Christ to share in this sacrament: those who are baptized members of a congregation that proclaims thegospel, who are at peace with God and their neighbor, and who seek strength to live in a deeper communion with Jesus.If you are not a Christian, or you are not prepared to share in this meal, we encourage you to spend this time in prayer.We hope that this time is helpful to you as you consider your relationship with Jesus Christ and with his people, the Church.

I Saw the Cross CarpenterI saw the cross of Jesus, when burdened with my sin;I sought the cross of Jesus, to give me peace within;

He drew my soul to Him and then He cleansed it in His blood;And in the cross of Jesus Christ I found my peace with God.

I love the cross of Jesus, it tells me what I amA vile and guilty creature, saved only through the Lamb;No righteousness nor merit mine, no beauty can I plead;

Yet in the cross I glory, my title there I read.

I trust the cross of Jesus, in every trying hour,My sure and certain refuge, my never failing tower;

In every fear and conflict see I more than conqueror am;Though living safe, or dying, through Christ, the risen Lamb.

Safe, Safe am I, in the cross of Jesus!Still rest in peace unshaken

Then in glory I’ll sing His wondrous power,Where sin can never enter, and death is known no more.

And in the cross of Jesus Christ I found my peace with God.

The Lord Blesses Us and Sends Us OutBenediction4 Hebrews 13:20-21Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the bloodof the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing inhis sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Lift High the CrossLift high the cross; the love of Christ proclaim,

Till all the world adore His sacred name.

4 Just as God called us into His presence at the beginning, so now He commands His blessing upon us as we depart. We look up and extend our handsin a posture of thanksgiving as we receive this great gift. Our final response to God’s assurance of His peace and presence upon those who are in Christis a chorus of joyful song.
