Dr. Daniel Wallerstorfer Dr. Daniel Wallerstorfer Bsc. is of Austrian nationality and moved to England at the age of 14 to complete his higher edu- cation and obtain a degree of Bachelor of Science in Molecu- lar Biology and a PhD in Biotechnology at the university of Manchester. After competing his studies he returned to Aus- tria, created the business plan for Novogenia and approached potential investors. After obtaining the necessary investment, Novogenia was founded in 2009 and began developing genetic testing ser- vices under the license to perform medical genetic tests from the state of Austria. With expanding operations, a second company (DNA plus – center for human genetics) was founded in Germany. In 2012, the only Austrian competitor and worldwide pioneer in personal genomics was merged into the Novogenia group of companies and now acts as the preventive medical genetic division of the group. Today the Novogenia group of companies is active in more than 40 countries world wide, ranging from the US, Europe, Russia to Asia.
