If you are visiting today, our prayer is that you have already experienced the warmth and friendliness of our church. I would love to meet you personally if you are a guest. ere is a guest reception immediately after each of our three worship services. To get to the reception, go underneath the baptistery, through the double doors and to the right. I want to connect with you. Today we are premiering the film, Cross Point, which our church produced in partnership with NFocus Pictures. I am asking you to purchase a copy of the DVD, and share it with someone. Also, you can purchase DVDs to be given away at Daytona Bike Week. is is a great outreach tool to share with a family member, friend, co-worker, or neighbor. ank you to everyone who gave their time and their money to make this film happen. Jim Carleton, we are very proud of you. Ryan Choate, thank you for the great job you did. Church, thank you for your willingness to reach outside these walls to share the good news. Alan and Cheryl Shafer, thank you for opening up your home. As you know, Worship Pastor Danny Daniels has given his resignation, which is effective March 1. We love Pastor Danny and Jodie and are committed to praying for them in this new season. Sunday, February 23 is Pastor Danny’s last Sunday. As I shared last Sunday, we are looking at the next steps in future worship leadership. Once we have all the pieces put together, I will share those with you. Hunger Task Force On Sunday, February 16, the Hunger Task Force will be sharing their recommendation to the church in all three worship services. e following people serve on the Hunger Task Force: Christi Haag, Chairperson Julia Dennis Crystal Tattrie Clarissa Albarran Maryanne Greene Emily Trivette Andy Baldwin Ida Mundell Paul Williams Roland Bean Becky Munson Alyssa Yoder Angie Dennis Gordon Sun Pastor David Trivette is the staff representative to the committee. I believe our whole church will be encouraged by the recommendation. Two things I want to share. First, this will be a totally different ministry than Compassion House. Compassion House is truly one of our most effective ministries, and the Hunger Task Force recommendation only affirms Compassion House and helps promote what this great ministry is doing. Second, the key to the recommendation is using Connect Groups to serve meals. Connect Groups will not have to supply the food. In addition, I will appoint a Kitchen Committee to oversee the building of some kind of kitchen adjacent to the Banquet Hall. is is different from the Christian Life Center Committee’s task. Christian Life Center Committee Prayer Meeting is Tuesday evening (February 11), I will be meeting with the Christian Life Center Committee in the NOW Center for one purpose: To cry out to God in prayer for wisdom regarding the next step to our studying the possibility of a Christian Life Center. Please pray for our Committee. As you can see, many things are happening in our great church. We must continue to pray for God’s anointing. I love you, Church, and thank God that I get to serve you. Adult Connect GroupsAttending a large church can be overwhelming and make it hard to connect with others. That’s why we created Connect Groups. Let us help you find a Connect Group by filling out the My Connections Card or stopping by the Connect to Growth Booth on Main Street.
