DVMA DISPATCH

President Message from Harry Davis

This month is the first month in the New Year 2020! The last couple months

have been exciting for DVMA members, The Movie, a really fun Christmas par-

ty, and then the holidays. Now it is time to consider some wonderful destina-

tions for everyone to enjoy in the coming year.

The big event for DVMA will be the annual All-Ford Car Show on June 6!!!

The Show will be in the Red Robin parking area of The Streets of Brentwood.

There are many details to work out and all members are invited to participate.

And, of course, on the day of the Show, there will be lots of opportunities for

each member to do some task that is important to the success of the Show.

Would you like to be a judge for the Mustangs? Would you like to do registra-

tion? Would you like to count the ballots? Would you like to sell raffle tickets?

Set-up and tear-down are very important and lots of hands make those tasks go

quickly.

Our monthly meetings are perfect for checking in, seeing friends, getting info,

and just enjoying the DVMA group. First Saturday breakfasts are great for start-

ing your Saturday!

National Mustang Day is April 17

National Mustang Day is coming up on April 17, 2020. This is an event that is celebrated by Mustang clubs

all over the world. Thousands of clubs from Africa, Australia, Europe, the Middle East and, of course, the

US all celebrate the iconic Mustang on this one day (can you hear the Beatles song “Come Together” play-

ing softly in the background?). There’s something really cool about all those Mustang lovers out on the

streets and byways on the exact same day! Our club has traditionally gotten together at Spaghetti Factory

for dinner since it often falls on a weeknight. This year it falls on a Friday. We’ll post more info soon about

our club’s own celebration. There’s a website at www.nationalmustangday.com that sells logo tee shirts for

men and women, if you’re interested. There’s plenty of time to order and have it by April 17.
