Call for Papers: The Experience of a Lifetime: People Personalities and Leaders in the First World War As part of the Centenary History of New Zealand and the First World War a major international conference, 'The Experience of a Lifetime: People, Personalities and Leaders in the First World War’ is to be held at Massey University's Wellington campus between Friday 22 August and Sunday 24 August 2014. The conference will feature leading New Zealand and overseas historians of the First World War including Professors Hew Strachan, Michael Neiberg and Glyn Harper. We invite proposals for papers on any topic related to the experience of individuals in the First World War. Although the focus of the conference will be on New Zealand, papers on non-New Zealand subjects would also be welcome. It is intended to publish a selection of papers from the conference. Those wishing to contribute should by 1 November 2013 submit an abstract no longer than 300 words and a biographical note to the organisers: John Crawford [[email protected]] or Professor Glyn Harper [[email protected]].

Call for Papers: The Experience of a Lifetime: People

Personalities and Leaders in the First World War

As part of the Centenary History of New Zealand and the First World War a major international

conference, 'The Experience of a Lifetime: People, Personalities and Leaders in the First World

War’ is to be held at Massey University's Wellington campus between Friday 22 August and

Sunday 24 August 2014.

The conference will feature leading New Zealand and overseas historians of the First World War

including Professors Hew Strachan, Michael Neiberg and Glyn Harper. We invite proposals for

papers on any topic related to the experience of individuals in the First World War. Although the

The Centenary History of New Zealand and the First World War is a collaboration between

Massey University, the New Zealand Defence Force, Manatū Taonga-the Ministry for Culture

and Heritage and the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services Association.
