Before authorizing the start of steel erection…

• Concrete footings, piers, and walls has attained the necessary strength by testing,

• 75% of the intended min. compressive design strength

or

• sufficient strength to support the loads imposed during steel erection

Commence after written notification is rec’d

• Safety devices, boom angle indicator, boom stops, anti-two block devices, load moment indicators

Headed steel studs, steel bars and steel lugs, and other shear connectors pose a tripping hazard on the tops of flanges

Attach shear connectors after the metal decking is installed

Covers for Roof and Floor Openings

Covers shall support 2 times the weight of employees, equipment and materials that may be imposed on the cover

Skylights must meet the strength requirements
