been
installed
through

2015
funds
for the
implementation
of
sLP
third
cycle
projects
have
been
directly
released
by
DBM
to
the
DSWD
Field
offices.
However,
as
funds
are
pooled
in
rhe
Field
offices
and
cash
is
consumed
by
other
projects
that
are
developed
and
approved
earlier,
there
were
points
when
cash
became
insufficient
to
cover
PAMANA
project
proposals,
particularly
in
Sield
Office
X.

in
Isabela
city,
Basilan
was
included.
The
story
tells
how
the
association
has
helped
beneficiaries
and
other
community
member
who
are
engaged

store

Association
places
bulk
orders

rice
whoiesalers

distributes

"purok"

zones

the
baraagay
upon
delivery.
To
suPport
their
livelihood,
the
members
themselves
patronize
their
goods
and
encourage
other
sari-sari
stores
and
households
in
the
baraagay
to
support
their.end.eavor.
To
help
their
neighbors
who
are
financially
challenged,
the
Association
proposed
several
terms
of
pJyment
on accounr
ranging
from
daily,
weekly
and
monthly.

Association
was
initiated
by
the

PAMANA
peace
and
Development

association
was
formally
registered

in
Iune
2014.

SLP
Association
members

enthusiastic

the
program
as
demonstrated
in
their
active
participation
during
trainings
and
capabiliry

for
them.
They
have
been
equipped
with
basic
knowledge
on
procurement,
bookkeeping
and
business
management
in
preparation
for
the
administration
of
the
projects,
The

Slp-pAMANA
was
introduced

the
community
through
a
barangay
assembly
facilitated
by
the
SIP-PAMANA
field
staff
of
DSWD
in coordination
with
the
BIGU.
The
Kaumpurnah
Zone
I
SLp
Association
was
later
formed
which
will manage
the
enterprises
to
be
established.
The
Association has
three
sub-groups.
The
first
sub_group
initially
had
30
members,

2 females.
They
implementation
activities
also
became
the
venue
co
impart
leadership
roles
and
social
responsibiliw,
SLP-PAMANA
is
going
beyond
its
objective
of
strengthening
resilience
to
conflict
by
improving
the
socio_economic
capaciry
of
the
communities
and
families
in
the covered
areas.
The
program
hqr
gradually
gained
the
trust
of
some
beneficiaries
who
confessed
being
part
of
the
nonconforming
groups.
Through
Stp-pAMANA
projects,
these
people
who
have
lived
in
secrecy
and
hardship
can
look
forward
to
a
much
brighter.
future

the

related
sessions
on
skills
development
for
entrepreneurship
which
equips
the

in
terms
of
the
knowledge

Association

identified

a
new
public

as
their
second

project
because
the
old
one
is

present,
the
public
market
serves
not
only
the
residents
of
barangay
Dableston-but
the
adiacent
barapgays
as
well
as
resid.ents
of
distant
towns
passing
through
the
highway
where
the
market
stands.
The
members
have
observed
an
increase
in
their
income
compare
to
when
the
market
was

in
the
old
site,
Their
income
can
now
support
the
daily
basic
needs
of
their
families
and
their
children can
now go
to
school
and.
attend
classes
regularly.
In
adclition,
the
members
of
the

Association
are
planning
to
donate
a
percentage
of
their
income
to
the
barangay
Day
care
center
for
acquisition
of
tables
and
chairs.
