Please note that in addition to the attached scholarship application form, the following

documents will be required:

1) A completed Navarro College Dual Credit Application submitted to the Dual Credit

Coordinator2) An official High School Transcript

3) TAKS scores (if applicable) and/or Accuplacer Scores that show eligibility for college

classes

4) A typed essay of 300 to 500 words by the student explaining the students need for

assistance and current educational and career goals

5) Letter of recommendation by high school official

6) Evidence of grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale

7) SCHOLARSHIPS ARE FOR ONE YEAR FALL 2013 AND SPRING 2014 SEMESTERS

ONLY

Incomplete applications and applications without all required paperwork will not be accepted.

This scholarship is for Ellis County residents and will pay tuition and fees for one class per

semester per student for Fall and Spring Semesters ONLY. These funds will cover one THREE

HOUR class. A cumulative college grade point average must be maintained at a 3.0 or better

for scholarship renewal.

Deadline for Fall 2013: 5:00 P.M. on June 3, 2013
