The Duke PA Program offers state-of-the-art learning

opportunities.

Our building

The Duke PA Program is located just off the main Duke campus in historic central Durham.

Our location offers:

• Free parking for students.

• A spacious lawn for studying, yoga, or a

between-class game of Frisbee.

• Proximity to recreation, dining, and shopping; including American Tobacco campus and Brightleaf Square.

• Step inside and you will find our main classroom with dual screens for effective presentations, cameras for recording of lectures, and a dedication to using technology to enhance learning.

We utilize a selection of smaller rooms for small group instruction and study.

Meet Harvey!

• Harvey® is our cardiopulmonary simulator, and is used for our students to gain expertise with learning normal and abnormal heart and lung sounds. And actually, Harvey® is twins! We have two of these guys waiting to help you learn.

Hands-on Learning

• For a tactile approach, our resources include life-sized and enlarged anatomical models of numerous body structures.

Practice

Physical diagnosis practice rooms • These rooms are used to learn physical

diagnosis, study, as well as to practice working with standardized patients as part of the curriculum.

Diagnostic methods / wet lab • In these labs, students learn how to perform

CLIA-waived laboratory tests and provider-performed microscopic procedures.

Hungry?

• Bring your lunch and spend time with friends in our bistro seating area, which includes two flat-screen TVs for watching the big game.

• Or stretch your legs as

you walk to any of the nearby restaurants.

Down time

• Our multi-purpose rooms

offer a selection of couches for comfortable studying or a place to relax during breaks.
