First make sure you have MPEG2 Component for QuickTime in-

stalled...

For DVD VIDEO_TS folder > QT conversion first rip your DVD with

OSEx, Yade X or Mac The Ripper in full disk mode /VIDEO_TS and

AUDIO_TS folders/. If you already have authored VIDEO_TS folder

on hard drive then you can proceed with conversion. DO NOT select

VIDEO_TS folder of the DVD disc itself as input!

MPEG2 Works 4 does not even attempt to decipher the latest DVD

copy protection schemes. Many DVDs, especially recent, popular

films, must be run through dedicated decrypting tools first, like Fair-

mount or Mac The Ripper. When MPEG2 Works 4 has trouble read-

ing a VIDEO_TS folder it is because of intentional authoring defects

placed there by the company releasing the disk. The movie studios

have started breaking the DVD standard in subtle ways to trip up

ripping applications. If you encounter the libdvdread error try to rip

your DVD again with some other ripping tool in a combination with

Fairmount..

OPERATION:

Then launch MPEG2 Works 4 and navigate to "Export2QT" section

DVD > iPod/iPhone/AppleTV using MPEG2 Works 4

and choose "VIDEO_TS > QT" preset button. "Open" dialog will

pop-up asking You for Your input file...Then "Save" dialog will pop-

up asking You to choose destination folder...

Now Title selection dialog will appear telling you how many titles

your VIDEO_TS folder has...Write into dialog title number /e.g. 1/...

Then new dialog will tell you how many chapters selected title has

asking you for desired chapter number(s)...Input format for chap-

ter(s) is this:

Single chapter only: If you want, for example, to convert only

chapter 5, then write into dialog 5-5 without spaces and only chap-

ter 5 will be converted...

2 or more chapters in a row: If you want to convert chapters 5, 6

and 7 only, for example, then write into dialog 5-7 without spaces...

If you want to convert Chapters 5, 9 and 15 only then you have to

do one by one...

VIDEO_TS folder, full movie conversion: If you want to convert

full Title /whole movie/ you should write chapters from 1 to last - e.g.

if your DVD has 21 chapters, for example, then you should write 1-

21.

Now decoding of input VIDEO_TS folder is starting...When decoder

finishes, the QuickTime export dialog will appear for You to choose

the Video and Audio export format/compression and to enter the

output file name...Choose "Movie to iPod" for iPod, "Movie to

iPhone" for iPhone or "Movie to AppleTV" for AppleTV on "Export:"

drop down menu...That's it...Now be patient and wait for conversion

to finish...
