• These instructions cover the device compatibility of the Dimension Series Fire Alarm Control Panels. Refer to the Product Manual (P/N 996-147) for details of how to install, program and maintain the system and to the User Manual (996-148) on how to operate the system.

1.2 Supported Protocols • The DX1, DX2 and DX4 Fire Alarm Control Panels are 1, 2 and 4 loop panels for use with analogue

addressable devices from the following detector manufacturer ranges: -

1.3 Software Versions • This manual also covers compatibility issues for the on-board sounder outputs, auxiliary supply outputs

and for the peripheral RS845 circuit.

• The Version of the Panel Operating Software at which devices are supported is listed in each table against each individual device. The quoted version number identifies the software version at which the functionality to support the device was incorporated or was the software version at which the device was validated as compatible. Morley-IAS Fire Systems does not warrant that the devices are compatible with panels at software versions earlier than those quoted.

• NOTE: All of the SLC LOOPS available in the panel must be used with the same device manufacturer products only. (The panel will automatically program the relevant protocol operating software into all of the available loop drivers when selected).

Maximum permitted load current is quoted at 25°C ambient – reduce load to 82% of quoted figure at 40°C – reduce load to 77% of quoted figure at 49°C. Maximum permitted surge current is 2.0 amperes per circuit – take account, when installing strobes, etc., of the surge current for these devices.
