Welcome to Shreveport, Louisiana!

As president of the Southeastern Association of School Business

Officials, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Shreveport, Louisiana

and the Shreveport Hilton and Convention Center for the LASBO/

SASBO Annual Conference and Discovery Forum. Thank you for

attending this 65th SASBO conference and celebrating the history

of LASBO’s and SASBO’s partnership.

Nancy White, SASBO Executive Director and the SASBO Board of Directors have

worked to build a conference that provides information, skill building, and networking

opportunities for you. This year we have a variety of educational sessions starting with

our pre conference sessions at 1:00 PM on Tuesday and continuing on Wednesday from

8:30 AM through 5:00 PM.

The opening general session on Tuesday will feature Steve Morgan as our keynote

speaker. The Outstanding Business Officials will be honored at this session followed by

a reception. You’ll enjoy excellent sessions and the time to visit with vendors on

Wednesday. Please show your support and appreciation for their participation. We

could not provide a conference at this level without their gracious support. SASBO’s

annual business meeting will end the day’s session and I hope you’ll all join us for din-

ner and karaoke at the Silver Star.

Thursday will hold Discovery Tracks beginning at 8:30 AM. These will end in time

for you to meet with users groups at the round table sessions, then gather for dinner,

dancing, and connecting with other members.

LASBO’s business meeting and state specific topics will close the conference on

Friday.

As we prepare to close the year, I want to thank you for the honor and privilege of

serving as your SASBO president. I have enjoyed working with old friends and making

new ones. I’d also like to thank Nancy White, the SASBO officers and the entire

SASBO and LASBO Board of Directors for their support and assistance this year.
