THE FRENCH EXPERIENCE: SIMON LIOT

Joel Atienza, Byron Uy, Kenzo Chua, H1C — Simon Liot is a French student who came to the Philippines to learn about our culture and to improve his English. Our class, H1C, was chosen to be his advisory section. We knew we had to make him feel at home, and we also wanted to prove that it was a good choice putting Simon in our class.

Soon, we heard that he was leaving in a few days, so we made a video of everyone say-ing his goodbyes to Simon. On his last day in Xavier, we showed him the video, and it touched all our hearts. We were really going to miss him because he was a part of the class and part of Xavier School. We were even hoping that we could be with him for one more day.

On the day he was about to go back to France, Simon stopped by Xavier to visit us one last time. We all hugged him because we were so lucky to have a classmate like him. He changed 1C: he made our bond stronger, he made our classes more fun, and he was a really good friend to us all.

We hope that Simon would come back to the Philippines so that we could meet him again. It has been two really fast months since Simon’s arrival in the Philippines. It’s really sad that it all happened so fast. Indeed, “time flies when you’re having fun!”
