SUPPORT FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL AND MANAGERIAL DEVELOPMENT OF MSMES THROUGH INCUBATORS

The main objective of the scheme is to promote & support untapped creativity of individual and to promote adoption of latest technologies in manufacturing as well as knowledge based innovative MSMEs.

Salient FeaturesThe components under the scheme will include mentoring support in business and technology, networking with other businesses, seed capital assistance, professional assistance to make the enterprise successful and achieve higher growth. Technology based new enterprises are typically characterized as high risk and high growth ventures, and as such, they require an enabling environment like BI to enhance the prospects of success.

Activity• Recognition of eligible institutions as Host Institute (HI) to set up Business incubator (BI).• Approval of Ideas of Incubatee of Host Institute.• Financial assistance up to 15 Lakh for nurturing of an Idea to HI.• Financial assistance up to 1.00 Cr. as Capital Support to HI for Plant and Machines.• Financial assistance up to 1.00 Cr. as SEED capital Support to deserving idea.• Awareness and workshop programme.

Coimbatore DistrictIndustrial Motivation Campaign for unemployed youth was organized at Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore on 4th & 5th November 2019 by Shri. V. Parameswaran, Asst. Director. Total 69 Prospective Entrepreneurs were participated in the event.

Dindigul DistrictAn Industrial motivational campaign for cluster was organized by MSME-DI, Chennai on 05.11.2019 at Dindigul in association with DIC & Dindigul District Micro & Small Enterprises Association (DMASEA) towards the dissemination of New MSE-CDP guidelines and DC MSME Schemes. The campaign was organized by Shri. K Saravanan, Assistant Director. Totally 53 units from Micro and Small enterprises were attended the Program.

ESDP on Food Processing

Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Food Processing Commenced from 06.11.2019 at Ramasamy Chinnammal Trust, Coimbatore organized at Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore and coordinated by Shri. V. Parameswaran, Asst. Director.

ESDP on Garments Manufacturing

Entrepreneurship Skill Development Programme (ESDP) on Garments Manufacturing has been commenced on 18.11.2019 at Rhythem Social Service Society, Coimbatore organized at Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore and coordinated by Shri. R. Vijayakumar, Asst. Director.

Chennai DistrictShri. G. Shanmuganathan, AIA, and Shri. Suresh Babuji, Director Incharge, elaborated the importance of Indigenization for Import substitution products in this region and described the importance of E-Vehicles and its Indigenization. Shri.C.H.Nadigar, Regional Director, EEPC, Chennai informed the reimbursement Schemes and need for Exports from MSME sector. Shri Mohan from TANSTIA narrated the importance of the Engineering & Automobile sector Clusters in Exports and appraised the initiatives of MSME Ministry to form the Technology centre at Sriperumpudur. 23 participants from Engineering and Automobile sectors were participated in the Meeting.

Chennai and Trichy DistrictJoint Review and open house meet for Export Oriented Units (EOUs) for Chennai and Trichy by Customs Commissionerate for the year 2018-19 Organized by DC-MEPZ in Chennai on 28-11-2019. Shri.Suresh Babuji Director Incharge evaluated the Export performance of EOUs along with the team of DC MEPZ Chennai. Shri. Shanmuga Sundaram IAS, Shri Anandhan, JDC MEPZ, Smt.Anitha Nandhini DDC MEPZ, Shri Planiyandi, Jt. Commissioner of customs and Shri Shekar Zonal additional DGFT were also present. Around 100 EOUs ware participated and their Export performance were evaluated

An Awareness Programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) was organized by MSME-DI, Chennai, on 27-11-2019 at Sangam Hotel, Trichy in association with DIC, TIDITSSIA, NASSCOM and CIPAM. The awareness programme was coordinated by Shri. N Srinivasulu, Assistant Director, MSME –DI Chennai. 51 units participated and benefitted.

Awareness Programme on Zero Defect and Zero Effect Scheme was organised Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore on 25.11.2019 at N.D. Hall, by Shri. R. Vijayakumar, Asst. Director, at SIEMA, Coimbatore in Association with the Southern India Engineering Manufacturers Association (SIEMA), Coimbatore

Enterprises Development Cell,MSME-DI in association with Indian bank organized a MSME campaign on 29.11.2019 at MSME-DI Premises .Shri.M K Bhattacharya, Executive Director chaired the meeting and disbursed the financial sanctions tune of more than 65 crores to entrepreneurs, Shri. S. Suresh Babuji Director Incharge MSME-DI appraised the Ministry of MSME schemes to the entrepreneurs .Shri.K Chandra Reddy General Manager and Shri.Subramanian DGM Indian Bank were also present.

Shri. R. Vijayakumar, Asst. Director Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore attended and delivered talk on MSME Schemes at the Awareness Programme on MMSE Schemes and Quality certification organized by DIC, Coimbatore on 28.11.2019 at CODISSSIA trade fair complex.

Swachhta Abiyan – Cleanliness Drive for the Third Quarter at Corporation Hr. Sec. School, North Coimbatore on 22.11.19. The Students took Pledge on Swachhta - Clean India, Issued Dustbins, Saplings and planted trees. All Officers of Br. MSME DI, Coimbatore participated.

Chennai, is a network of O/o the development commissioner for the state of Tamil

Nadu under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India. The Organization was

set up on 6th June 1954. During the last six decades the Organization has worked

relentlessly towards converting the idle man power into resourceful

entrepreneurs. The MSME – Development Institute, Chennai and Branch MSME –

Development Institutes at Coimbatore and Tuticorin are providing a

comprehensive range of facilities and services such as techno-managerial

services, training needs, common facility workshop, laboratories, statistical and

economic information in the state of Tamil Nadu &Puducherry. MSME -

Development Institute, Chennai maintains close liaisons with State Government
