    e-WOOF is a bi-monthlye-newsletter produced by a

    small group of Wyoming dog

rescuers in an effort to high-

    ight shelter dogs in critical

    need of help.

e-WOOF spotlights manydogs that face euthanasia

    within days unless they

    are rescued, fostered,

    or adopted.

    Transport can be arranged,

    in most cases, to approved

    adoptive or foster homes

    or rescue organizations.

    Please help us! These are

    good, healthy, happy, lov-

ing dogs that are out of luck

and out of time. We urge you

    to crosspost to e-mail lists

    and Web groups, forward to

    friends, send to co-workers,

    and share with family. We

    hope our efforts, combined

    with yours, will save many

    ives.

TUCKER is a Heeler mix, 3 years old. No doubt about it I ama great looking dog with beautiful colors. I enjoy going for walks, snifng, and feeling the sunshine on my face. I am only about 18-

20 tall just the right size. Im hoping to nd a new family to love

me and whom I can love in return. We could have a great time goingfor walks or even jogs. Please come meet me and lets go for a

    walk!____________

VAIL is a 10 year old, female, black Lab. She is currently on Trama-dol for apparent pain in her hip area. We also started her on a spe-

cial diet and medication for diarrhea. The latter may be stress relat-ed due to the shelter environment. Vail will pace back and forth and

pant in the kennel, she has a hard time resting. She really needs

to be in a home. Vail is good with other dogs and cats. Sheis very sweet and a volunteer favorite!

ANGELINA is a 14 year old, female, Shepherd mix. Angelina wasfound in our night drop on June 26. She is very thin, geriatric, andhas a variety of health issues stemming from apparent neglect. She

is good with other dogs -- tolerant of most dogs, all sizes. No cats! She snapped at the cat when the cat swatted at her, also wanted to

chase the cat when the cat ran. Angelina did show some resource

guarding over a kong but since she is so underweight and malnour-ished from years of neglect, this behavior is not surprising. A for-

mal evaluation hasnt been done yet; however, with the resource

guarding, we would recommend older children who are aware of herguarding behavior.Angelina has had a rough life so far and

we would love to nd her a stable, permanent home forher remaining days.

ATHENA came to us very skinny and neglected. This sweet girlhad been tied up outside for days in the pouring rain with no food, shelter, or water. When the police brought her to us, you could al-most see the relief in her eyes! She has come a very long way sincethen. She is active and loving, and loves to go for walks. She neverhad much training in her previous home, so she does need a bit of

work. With a little bit of patience and love she would be-come a wonderful companion!

MIAis a 5 year old female Tree Walking Coonhound mix. She cameto us because her owners were moving and could not take her withthem. She was raised around children so she would be a wonderfulfamily dog. She is wonderful with other dogs--she would be best ina home without cats. (She would most likely chase them.) She is a

very affectionate and sweet girl who loves everyone!

SCOOBY is an 8 year old Rottweiler/German Shepherd mix.Scooby has been with us for 3 years now, and is still looking for hisforever home. He can be a little intimidating while he is in his cage,

but once he is out of the cage he is a different dog. He takes a littlebit to get used to new people, but if you take him for a walk and givehim a treat he will be your best friend. He needs to be in a home

without small children or cats, but does get along well with mostother dogs. He also needs to be in a home where his owner will bean Alpha personality.

Joe has learned manyobedience commands, loves walking, and close companionship. Heis housetrained and kennel trained. He is quiet, only barks to go out-side or come inside. Meet SWEETS and DOBBIE! Sweets (2 years old) is themother ofDobbie (9 months old) and was found with him on theup ramp to the interstate near Lodge Grass, Montana. She has been

vaccinated, vetted, and spayed. She would prefer a home withoutrowdy dogs. While Dobbie is very active, Sweets is quiet andloves to hang out and get attention. She will be about 65 lbs. whenshe gets her weight back. She was very thin and went far too long

without good food so she guards all food from other dogs. But shehas never been anything but cooperative and kind with people andloves, loves, loves attention! Dobbie has been vaccinated, vetted, and neutered. He is friendly and learning some social graces. Heneeds his own home!

Annie is a sweet senior Brittany girl (house-broken and cratetrained) who is looking for her forever home for her golden years. She is very spry at 11-years old; she loves to run and romp. Annieseems to be a retired birding dog, as she is quite deaf, but she is

VERY visually stimulated. She watches birds y and tracks them

overhead! She is a petite 30 pounds, and loves her dinners, petting,a good roll in the grass, and being near you. She is current on her

vaccinations, spayed, has had a dental (poor nutrition in her earlyyears led to her having 7 non-molar teeth removed... she just needsher food moistened), and is Heartworm negative. She just loves her

walks, and snufing in the grass and looking for birds. She is an ab-solute gem of a girl! She gets along with other dogs, as long as theyarent pushy. She will be cat-tested. A home without young children

would be best (due to her deafness), and she will require a very se-cure fenced area for exercise. She does play fetch and has a gentlemouth. She will readily come to you when she sees you and you

wave for her. She would be a good candidate for a vibration train-ing collar. Her adoption fee is $200, or $100 if the adopter is over

    60. Please go to the NBRAN website for an application. http://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp
