Fine-Flex Molded Panel Heater

Panel heaters are heater units that incorporate an integrated heating element, which is processed into a specific shape during or after molding of the cer-amic fiber insulator.

Because panel heaters use electrical heating, tem-perature control is easy, and they don't generate ex-haust gas. Therefore, panel heaters enable clean heating.

●When connecting terminals, be careful not to bend or stress them, and attach them firmly.

●Use a free configuration to prevent heating of termi-nals, and attach terminal covers.

● Apply ample insulation between the panel heater and supports and the panel heater and furnace casing.

● Before the products are shipped, they are sufficiently dried and packaged. However, heating elements may oxidize due to moisture absorption and condensation during storage. Therefore, avoid storing the products in places with high humidity. Also, if the heating ele-ments absorb moisture, re-dry them, or dry them elec-trically after heater application, at a temperature be-tween 100 and 200 deg C.

● Sudden rises and drops in temperature impose a high load on heating elements, and accelerate their deterior-ation due to flaking of oxide film and so on. Therefore, control the temperature using a thyristor or the like.

● Be sure to use gloves when handling panel heaters. If perspiration etc. contacts the heating elements, it may shorten their service life.

● An atmosphere containing ammonia, sulfur, halogens, or salts will shorten the life of the heating elements. Therefore, care is needed. This includes gases pro-duced through decomposition of heated substances.

●When discarded, the products are considered indus-trial waste. Therefore, dispose of them in accordance with the Law Concerning Disposal and Removal of In-dustrial Waste.
