With each new Washington State milestone, sustainbility increases . . . March, 2006 - June, 2009 - Regional & sector summits held to create the E3 vision, and goals; 2,000 participants producing over 24,000 ideas and initiatives. January, 2010 - The E3 Washington Comprehensive Plan, Vision, and Goals are widely published with the completion of E3 Washington’s website. May, 2009 - ESE Specialty Endorsement for teachers approved by the Professional Educator Standards Board. November, 2007 - Standard V.3.D. approved, requiring that teacher candidates learn how to facilitate student learning about sustainability. November 2011 - Higher Education Survey reveals statewide campus work toward sustainable practices & learning. July, 2011 - E3 Washington & partners finish first year of work with school & community-linked teams to tackle school needs with sustainability learning strategies. January, 2013 - E3 Washington regional survey identifies over 50 programs in 21 local networks innovating ESE across all levels of society.
