hop hornbeam (Ostrya virginiana) to replace an ash tree that was removed from the

at the Chicago Botanical Garden
Plant species are increasingly threatened as habitat loss, invasive species and
climate change become even more severe. Havens will discuss how organizations,
national and global alike, are tackling the threats to plants while addressing
conservation plans for the future. Join us for this informative talk about plant
blindness, how climate change affects plants, and building large scale restoration
capacity. The role of the updated Global Strategy for Plant Conservation, the
National Seed Strategy and other recent policy documents in providing a road map
for successful plant conservation will also be explored.
