17th August, 2017 Message from the Principal Dear parents, staff and students, 2018 Planning Thank you to the parents of our kindy students who have completed enrolment forms for next year. We still have some kindy students who have not been re-enrolled into Pre-Primary for 2018. Parents of these students are reminded that they must complete enrolment forms if they wish to secure a position within our Pre-Primary program next year. We will soon be looking at our planning for next year. To assist us in ensuring that our student projection figures and our staffing is as accurate as possible, if you know that your child will not be returning to East Beechboro Primary next year, please complete the slip below and return to the office as soon as possible. Pupil Free Day Parents are reminded that tomorrow, Friday 18th August , is a pupil free day. Students will return to school as normal on Monday 21st August. Parking around the School Parking around our school continues to be a significant issue. Last term we requested a map from the City of Swan detailing areas where parking is permitted around the school. We are sending home a copy of this map with this newsletter in the hope that it clarifies where parents are allowed to park. As always, student safety is our primary concern and I ask you all to still consider this particularly at the start and the end of each day. Please also be mindful of our residents and refrain from parking on private property. We have had several complaints from parents who have been issued with parking fines and warnings. I would like to make it very clear that the school did not instigate the patrols that have been taking place recently. Book Week A reminder that next week is Book Week. As part of the celebrations the whole school will take part in a fun incursion on Thursday 24th August. Students will also be able to come to school dressed as their favourite book character or according to the theme of Book Week, ‘Escape to Everywhere’ on Wednesday 23rd August. Students will be given the opportunity to parade their costumes at assembly. Get your thinking hats on and I look forward to seeing some fantastic and inventive costumes. School Photos Our school photos will be taken on the 13th and 14th September. Photo order forms have been sent home. Parents wanting to have sibling photos taken are asked to obtain a separate order form from the office. Photo order forms can be returned with payment to the office or given directly to the photographers on the scheduled photo day. If ordering online, the final date to do so is Wednesday 20th September.
