EAST SIDE COASTALRESILIENCY PROJECTPROYECTO DE RESISTENCIA COSTERA DEL LADO ESTE

New York City is undertaking the East Side Coastal Resiliency Project. The purpose is to reduce the risks from extreme weather and climate change, as well as improve quality of life. This project focuses on neighborhoods near the East River between Montgomery and 23rd Streets.

The project builds on HUD’s 2014 Rebuild by Design competition. As

with that effort, active community involvement is a key component of the project’s success. Come to either meeting to learn and contribute. Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese interpreters will be present.

La Ciudad de Nueva York está emprendiendo el Proyecto de Resistencia Costera en el lado Este. El propósito es reducir los riesgos causados por fenómenos meteorológicos extremos y el cambio climático, así como mejorar la calidad de vida. Este proyecto se enfoca en los vecindarios cercanos al lado este del río entre las calles Montgomery y 23rd Street.

El proyecto se basa en reconstruir por concurso de Diseño del año 2014 del
