Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray. - Rumi The number one question people ask me is, “How do I start making changes to get my life back on track?” Many of us know that we'd like to make changes in our lives. Maybe we want to lose weight, heal our relationships, sleep better, eat better, get active, be less stressed out, be more at peace. Whatever it is we want, we know that what we are doing now isn't taking us there. No matter how many times we “get on the wagon”, inevitably, we find ourselves falling off and wondering what is wrong with us. Why is it so hard? What are we doing wrong? The problem is we tend to want to change the external things in our lives – the people, our weight, our jobs, our spouses, our children, etc. But in order to make real and lasting change, we need to start looking inside – to take an inner journey. It is inside that we hold the patterns that keep repeating over and over again. It is inside that we hold the heartbreak and the disappointments. It is inside that we have beliefs about ourselves that tell us we aren't good enough. It is inside that we hold beliefs about whether the world is a kind and benevolent place or a place of constant hardship and pain. We must journey through these places to root out the ideas and beliefs that no longer serve us. We must find new ideas and perspectives that take us to the places we truly want to go. It doesn't have to be difficult. On the one hand, we need to do some deep soul-searching and be very honest with ourselves with where we're at and what we're feeling. But it's also about finding that “lightness of being” where we are filled with hope and gratitude. Where we do things that are fun. Where we really start enjoying our life! Let yourself be silently

drawn by the strange pull of what you

really love. It will not lead

you astray. - Rumi

The number one question people ask me is, “How do I start making changes to get my life back on track?”

Many of us know that we'd like to make changes in our lives.

It is inside that we hold the patterns that keep repeating over and over

again.

The JourneyCla

ssThe Journey Class is the core of what East Street Station is all about. This class is the chance to begin the journey together - learning, expanding our minds, and healing our lives.

As mentioned in the opening story of this newsletter, the number one question that people often ask when they come to the Station is, “How do I get started? I know that I want to make some changes in my life. But I just don’t know how to do it.”

We must start by embarking on the inner journey. And The Journey Class is exactly about that journey. It will be a chance to learn about other ways of seeing the world, healing, and philosophies of life that help and hinder us on our paths. It’s about each of our own inner journeys towards happiness, wellness and really enjoying our lives.

Here are some of the many questions we will be asking and discussing along the way:

How do I hear and trust my intuition? Who am I really? Why is this so important to my happiness and peace of mind? How do I find balance in my life? What am I passionate about? What do I

really value? How does this fit into my journey?

How do I heal my relationships? How do I get through the tough spots?

Through lecture, discussion, support, and meditation, this 12-week class will help anyone looking to grow on their journey through life. Whether we find ourselves a little off-track and needing some slight adjustments to get things back on track or we need to make some BIG changes. We’re all in this together.

When: Wednesdays, 5:30-7 p.m., 12 weeksfrom Sept. 26-Dec. 12Cost: $120+HST Instructor: Katrina Bos

If you live at a distance but would still like to get started on your journey, we are pleased to offer the opportunity to begin the journey from home. This is open to anyone unable to take the weekly class held at the Station.

Each week, the lecture portion of the class, along with the meditations, will be video-recorded and available weekly online. For those taking the class at the Station, you will also have access to these video clips in case you miss a class.

Cost: $80+HST
