Social media introBasically, they are web sites where, for free, we can connect and interact with other people.

What makes social media different is that it is more than two-waycommunication.



Everybody here is in marketing, whether we want to be or not.

Social media affects everybody here in some way.



People looking online for Eau Claire County don’t care about hierarchy.

If they find one of us on Twitter, Facebook, or leave a comment on our blog, they’re looking for a response from anyone who can help, regardless of what department that person is in or what someone’s official job title is.

Who can’t relate to this?



How does this affect us then?

Simple. We need to take the necessary steps to protect our families and our jobs by protecting our privacy on any social media sites we belong.
