ANZAC DAY MARCH
Thankyou to those students and families who joined in the ANZAC Day March yesterday.
The students represented the school beautifully. It was wonderful to see so many of our
students representing the school and other Beaufort groups, such as Guides, Cubs, Scouts,
and the Fire Brigade. Thank you to the RSL for inviting us and running an amazing
ceremony for the Beaufort community.
From the Principal
Tomorrow we have 25 students representing our school and participating in the District Cross Country at Victoria Park in Ballarat. We wish them all the best with their run.
Due to circumstance beyond her control, Heather Nye will be taking leave from school, starting this Thursday, for the remainder of the term. Kate Ryan will be replacing Heather in the classroom. We wish Heather all the best for a speedy recovery.
The winter mornings are definitely upon us. With the crisp air in the mornings, we encourage all students to wear a jumper (named) to school in the mornings, allowing them to be warm to start the day but also take it off once the sun is out and the day is warmer.
Our Parents and Friends group are running two events next week and are looking for volunteers to help on these days.
Thursday 5th May is our Mother’s Day Stalls. Students will have the opportunity to purchase gifts for their Mothers and special people in their lives. These stalls will be running in the morning, just after 9am. Students will come out with their class teacher to do their shopping. There will be a range of gifts starting at around $1.00.
Sponsorship forms for the school Fun Run went home last week. Students are encouraged to gain sponsorship for this event. The run will take place on the 6th May (weather permitting) at around 9.30am at the lake. Students can run or walk the lake.
Thank you and well done to the Junior School Council who sold $210 worth of ANZAC Day badges and bands for the RSL.

MOTHERS DAY ART ACTIVITY—SPOILER ALERT
All students in Grades Prep to 4 are asked to bring $2.00 to
purchase a blank coffee mug by Tuesday 3rd.
Please place money in a named envelope and return it to the office.
Students will be specially decorating a gift for their Mother or
special person in their life. These mugs will then be baked so the
designs will stay on. They will not be dish washer proof but hand
washing should be fine.
