Abstract

Electricity Shifting of electric poles, lines, cables, transformers etc., - Bearing itsexpenditure in some cases by the requisitioning bodies and Government and insome cases by Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Revised Orders Issued.

***ORDER:

In supersession of the Orders issued in the G.O. read above, theGovernment issue the following revised orders for compliance by all theconcerned:-i) While the Government and Government Departments require the shifting,the cost relating to that should be remitted by them to Tamil Nadu Electricity Boardby adding those costs in the estimate of the respective works itself.ii) In the case of National Highways works, the expenditure on shifting shouldbe borne by the State Government as the Central Government will not bear thecost.iii) In regard to cost of shifting works required by the Corporation,

Municipalities and Town Panchayats, those expenditures should be borne by themprovided the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board while preparing estimates for worksshould fix over heads charge only at 7.5 % covering all items such as centage,storage etc., The concession of fixing this charge of 7.5 % is applicable only forthe above mentioned local bodies.iv) In regard to Panchayats, Panchayat Unions, shifting expenditure should beborne by Tamil Nadu Electricity Board itself are these Institutions are financiallyweaker.
