簡國忠牧師簡介

簡國忠牧師，生於美國德洲，

是家中的獨子。1973年在達拉

斯浸會大學畢業，之後入讀西

南浸會神學院，並於1988年從

中西浸會神學院取得教牧學博

士學位。曾於1975年在香港浸

會學院任教，1980-

2009年間為西差會的宣教士，從事植

堂、教學、差傳策劃、發展等事工，近年更在上海及重慶

帶領國際教育事務。2013年返回北美洲，現在牧養溫哥華

華人浸信會，與師母淑樺育有三名兒子。

Born in Dallas, Texas, Donald Gardner grew up as an only child

and graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1973 before

proceeding to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to begin

work on his Master's Degree. In 1975, Donald moved to Hong

Kong to teach at Hong Kong Baptist University. Donald completed

his D. Min. Degree in 1988 from Midwestern Baptist Seminary.

Donald is married to Sue Shu-Hwa Gardner and they have 3 grown

sons. The Gardners served with the International Mission Board of

the SBC for most of the years between 1980 and 2009. He has

worked in multiple areas such as Church Planting, Teaching,

Administration, and Strategy Development. For the most recent

years, Donald worked as the International Director for China Cast

Education Corporation serving out of the cities of Shanghai and

Chongqing. Returning to North America in 2013, Dr. Gardner

began serving as pastor at the Vancouver Chinese Baptist Church

in January of 2014.

1986年畢業於UBC大學商科學院，之後回港任職於香港大學

及香港理工大學新聞及公共關系部。

1994年隨丈夫回溫哥華進修神學，期間任職於維真學院中國研

究部。

2000年丈夫牧會期間，發現患上帕金遜，Grace成為他的照顧

者；直到2011年，丈夫離世。Grace現為恩雨之聲溫哥華辦事

處事工主任。


有S或無S?

引言：一句很有意思的話這樣說，普通的人只有一命即性命

，但非凡的人卻有兩命就是性命和使命。亦有人說基督徒的生

命就是使命（life is mission），各位親愛的弟兄姊妹，您的人

生有使命嗎？如果有，又是怎樣的使命？

壹、宏觀意義 - 基督教宣教學

傳統上，教會把傳道事工分為本地佈道（太28:18-20）及海外

宣教（徒1:8），故mission被譯為宣教。後來，教會發現這翻

譯偏重了前方的宣教而似乎忽略了後方的支援故mission就被

譯成差傳，同時兼顧前線的傳教事奉及教會的差遣角色。近來

有人提醒教會，除了福音使命外基督徒亦有文化使命（創1:27

-28），故建議把mission改為missions即多重的使命。自此，

基督教會的福音任務除了須要差會與宣教士及教會各傳道部門

的參與外，亦強調每個基督徒的生活見証（林前10:31）及職

場影響力的配合（彼前2:9）。整全福音一詞更應運而生，故

神的拯救除了有1.靈魂得救的意思外，亦包括2.生活改善、3.

情緒醫治、4.關係復和、5.思想轉化、6.生命成長、7.美滿婚

姻、8.家庭更新、9.社會關懷、10.政治公義、11.國際和諧、

12.生態復修...等（路4:18-21）。想不到一個小小的字母S竟

然帶來如此的效果！

貳、微觀意義 - 西北溫頌恩堂

我們教會有個 Mission Department（中譯為差傳部），指導經

文除了上述的太28:18-20及徒1:8外，還有羅 10:13-15。所做

的事工包括：支持宣教士、資助福音機構、設立神學生獎學金

、安排短宣行程、參與本地宣教工作（燈塔事工）及推動差傳


教育（年會及手冊）等。當我們繼續這種種有價值的項目之際

，本會亦開始思量英文字母 S 所帶給我們的意義。本會使命

宣言的第四句是「服侍華社群」，但教會架構中卻未有單位全

力去負責北岸各個社區服務的機會，如：參加食物銀行、關懷

協會、區域巡遊、緊急援助等的義務工作。本部希望可以在20

15年開始帶領會眾多做社區參與的活動，您又願意抽空嘗試委

身心力嗎？正如本屆華福大會的主題「整體教會把整全福音帶

去整個世界」（the whole church bring the whole gospel to the

whole world），我們盼望本會的每位會眾(本教會沒有「平」

（便宜）信徒！）都能同心協力地把神的全人拯救（上述的12

個範疇！）從門前的社區開始帶往地極去！

結語：正如從加拿大到台灣去宣教之馬偕博士的名句所言「寧

願燒盡、不願銹壞」，我祈求神使本會能整體總動員地去關心

社會；以致我們教會能在西北溫榮耀神，並在北岸為主作光作

鹽作美好的見證！

My time at home is drawing near. I am thankful for the time of

furlough to rest, to rejuvenate and to renew. I treasure the time I

spend with my children and granddaughter. I also enjoy the

opportunities to connect with friends and partners, and to speak to

groups about friendship evangelism and multiplying disciples in

France. Thank you for your gifts, pr*y*rs and hospitality.

In July, I return to France to begin a new term. My spirit is

excited! I sense a shift in the spiritual atmosphere in Paris.

Recently, a new Christian radio station was launched in Paris.

PHARE FM Paris has a potential audience of 9.5 million and is

using a contemporary Christian music format with short talk

elements throughout the hour, so that listeners receive a Bible-

based word of encouragement every time they tune in.

PHARE FM Plans is the 8th

station in the PHARE network in

France. Evangelicals in France number about 400,000 in a

population of 65 million. This is an unprecedented opportunity to

reach the City of Light, 38% of the 6 million Mo*le*ms in France

live alongside more than 90,000 Christians in the greater Paris

region which has no other evangelical Christian radio.

Your pr*yers for Team C4 are invaluable. Please pr*y that we will

not miss opportunities that the L*rd has for us in terms of ministry.

We want to make the most of the time (Eph. 5:16) and always be

conscious of time as opportunity for service in the very needy

greater Paris region.

Please ask God for increased faith, wisdom & sharp discernment

for the new season for me.

Please pr*y for divine opportunities to share His good news with

the younger generation and to lead them to Chr*st.

特別珍惜與兒子和孫女共聚的時光，也享受與朋友和宣教夥伴

之間的聯繋及於小組中分享我在法國傳福音、倍增門徒等事奉

法國開始新的任期，我的靈為巴黎的屬靈生機而雀躍。最近有

一全新的基督教電台 PHARE FM啟播，它擁有九百五十萬的

聽眾潛力，並且採納當代基督教音樂的模式配上短講的元素，

每時鐘使聽眾可在任何時段接收到勵志又以聖經為本的信息。

巴黎 PHARE FM 台是法國PHARE網絡的第八個台，法國的

福音派信徒大約是四十萬，而總人口是六千五百萬。這將是個

前所未有的機會，把福音在這以“光”聞名於世的城市傳開去

。在法國有六百萬的穆斯林，其中有百分之三十八就與住在大

巴黎區約九萬的福音派信徒作鄰，在這裏這是唯一的基督教福

音派電台。

柬埔寨金邊恩典堂各堂會事工報告

各位親愛的同工、弟兄姊妹：

平安！進入2014年，每天從新聞裡所看到的多是負面、另人難

過的事情，民攻打民，國攻打國，無論在社會文化與教育上，

處處顯示出在這急速敗壞的世代中，主再回來的日子已經近了

，但願在那一天，我們能在主前被祂稱讚為忠心、良善又有見

識的好管家。

開往水深之處

多年來，恩典堂一直致力於本土同工的建立與本土事工的發展

，雖然柬埔寨同工受教育及靈命的裝備有不少缺欠，但神從來

不偏待人，“因為人若有願作的心，必蒙悅納；乃是照他所有

的，並不是照他所無的。”（林後8:12）我們也是按著神的心

意，在得時與不得時中竭力傳福音與門徒培訓同時並進。如果

說十五年前的柬埔寨人對福音是陌生與遙遠的話，那麼今天他

們對福音已有明顯的開放，信主洗禮的人比以前大幅度增長，

但我們提醒自己不要被表面的數字所蒙蔽，所要提防的乃是被

金錢、權利慾、個人成功主義所影響及扭曲的人際關係與服事

觀，也只有建立在基督裡的人生價值觀才能使信徒甘心樂意成

為主的門徒。

目前恩典堂有12位本土同工，他們在基督裡的立志是真誠的

，他們在面對世俗潮流的挑戰中，因著神施恩的手從沒離開我

們，使這些年輕同工在信心的學習與成長上搖而不動。正因著

基督永不更改的慈愛與應許，海外衆支持教會、宣教士與本土

同工們同心竭力開往水深之處。


辦學事工

金邊恩典教會從2013年年初開始國際學校事工。教會在辦學

事工上，一直希望能有一位具有教育專業、又有宣教異象的校

長來負責學校事工。可是教會缺乏足夠經費聘請一位資深校長

負責學校事工，就在學校事工是否要停下來兩難之間，聖靈感

動及差派一位在香港有三十多年任校長經驗的弟兄回應這需用

，願意來柬埔寨挑起恩典國際學校代理校長一職。實在是感謝

主豐盛的恩典，獨行奇事的神從不誤時與誤事。這位校長不但

成為恩典堂基督教國際學校的祝福，也成為教會弟兄姊妹同工

們的祝福，他的言傳身教成為基督榮耀福音在柬埔寨的美好見

證。目前金邊基督教國際學校有幼兒到小學共3班，學生總數

43位，計畫在新學年中擴大招生到 90 位，及增加以聖經和

基督教信仰為內容的生命教育科。

方舟恩典國際學校的學生全部來自柬埔寨人家庭，這些從小就

生活在貧困漁村的小孩，自從來到方舟國際學校後生命及學習

明顯改進，部份家長也因此改變了對教會抗拒的敵意，在主日

中輿他們的孩子一同走進教會，將感恩和頌贊歸給耶穌基督。

方舟國際學校事工從開始一直得到溫哥華聖道堂的大力支持與

幫助，他們除了經費上的支持外，還派出短宣隊到工廠幫助學

校美工裝飾。

目前方舟國際學校有2個幼兒班、6個小學班，學生150位，老

師 8 位，我們需要增加老師，求主供應所需要增加的經費。

福音的大能

進入2013年7月柬埔寨大選以後，國家整個政治局勢非常動亂

，大家都在擔心發生暴亂。金邊恩典教會的大部份弟兄姊妹都

是在工廠裡工作。當工廠成為政治家手上的一個工具之後，工

人大罷工，人心惶惶，道路阻塞，搶聲、爆炸


聲就在教會四週圍響起，部份肢體擔心政局的變化只有選擇離

開柬埔寨回去中國。感謝主的恩典，神是我們的避難所、山寨

、和盾牌，更是我們的力量和旌旗，有祂與我們同在還懼怕什

麼呢？教會一方面溫馨提醒弟兄姊妹遠離暴動及示威遊行的危

險之地，另一方面在主面前切切為柬埔寨禱告與守望。信實的

神親自看顧弟兄姊妹在柬埔寨所開辦的工廠，使他們沒有受到

因罷工所帶來的任何擾亂與破壞；在這期間，潔茹傳道、牛姊

妹兩位宣教士也分別遭遇到被搶劫的危險，但那傷身體不能傷

靈魂的我們不要怕牠，神是我們的保護！

今年，金邊恩典堂的目標是“一人領一人信主”，一方面讓同

工與弟兄姊妹們更深認識與經歷“福音本是神的大能”，一方

面求主將得救的人數多多加給我們，感謝聖靈的光照與引導，

首先帶領同工們在悔改中生命得著突破與更新，這全是神憐憫

的恩典。也只有人生命上的改變見證才能帶來教會的復興，最

近神帶領了六位來自中國的慕道朋友接受了耶穌基督。

金邊恩典堂在首都的工廠區、經濟貿易區與餐飲區分別建立了

3個區域小組，使在基層的人得到及時的牧養與關懷；但另一

個迫切的問題是很多弟兄姊妹在主日因為所在的工廠或公司加

班而沒有辦法回來聚會，在柬埔寨工塲宣教雖然充滿了挑戰，

使我們不氣餒的是深信耶穌基督是莊稼的主，祂必定在莊稼已

經發白的柬埔寨工塲大大彰顯祂救贖的恩典，榮耀歸給祂！

代禱事項：

1. 為著教會所需要的長期宣教士同工禱告。

2. 為著恩典堂與海外眾教會機構的彼此配搭，合一服侍禱告。

3. 為著金邊恩典堂附近的海外華人及本地華人信主禱告，求主

預備他們的心，接受基督為生命的救主。

4. 為著每位神的兒女渴慕主的話語及教會生活的建立禱告。


5. 為著三個區域的小組事工禱告：德特拉小組、新街市小組

、信華繡花廠小組。

6. 為著四間堂會本土同工在屬靈生命上的成熟禱告，求主幫

助他們立定心志尊主為大，委身基督。

7. 為著西港恩典堂籌建“門徒培訓中心”的土地轉名順利完

成手續禱告。

8. 為著竹筍村恩典堂建堂事工的落實與完成禱告。

9. 為著眾弟兄姊妹渴慕主話語，幫助眾人的屬靈生命建基在

神話語上。

10. 求主復興弟兄姊妹禱告靈修生活，及幫助他們在主日中能

回到教會敬拜親近神。

11. 為教會年輕弟兄姊妹的侍奉、戀愛、婚姻、工作禱告，求

主幫助弟兄姊妹一生都走在神的旨意中。

12. 為方舟國際學校需要老師禱告，求主預備與供應。

13. 為恩典堂兩間國際學校的同工、老師有健康的身體、美好

的靈性禱告，求主使用他們成為柬埔寨人的祝福。

14. 求主賜給眾同工有合一的靈禱告，求主幫助教會同心合意

的在柬埔寨興旺天國的福音。

加拿大突破宣道—生命轉化中心

李賓來傳道 (總幹事)

李賓來傳道信主前，是名乩童、

幫派打手與吸毒者。曾迷醉於暴

力、色情、酗酒、賭博及毒品當

中，染上海落英毒癮歷時11年。

最後被趕出家門，淪落到在街邊

睡覺及向人討錢吃飯，直至1992

年進入新加坡突破宣道福音戒毒

所，藉著福音戒毒重獲新生，並

參與福音戒毒事工 14 年，畢業

於新加坡神學院。

2007年，他在神的帶領下擕家眷

回到溫哥華定居，任職於溫哥華

華人浸信會宣教牧者，直至

2012年底。

在職期間，他看到整個大溫地區，因毒品、酗酒、賭博、家庭

暴力、沉迷網絡遊戲及性捆綁等行為，以致產生社會、人際關

係、精神及家庭問題；許多父母傷心難過，妻離子散，家庭破

裂，甚至人命傷亡。

這一切的問題惟有生命得到轉化，始能看見改變。這一切黃、

黑、賭、毒、酒及沉迷網絡遊戲的問題，不單衝擊國家社會，

或非信徒圈子；相信就是基督徒家庭，也衝擊甚大。


感謝神，在禱告與等候了三年的時間，在很清楚神的帶領之下

，李傳道毅然向教會辭職，憑著信心於2013年1月成立《加拿

大突破宣道》—生命轉化中心，正式註冊為合法的非牟利福

音機構，以支援大溫眾華人教會及華人社群面對相關癮癖問題

的處理，以及發揮基督門徒在世發光作鹽之效用，讓耶穌基督

的名再次被高舉起來。

感謝神，在很短的時間，於2014年1月我們已正式成為加拿大

政府所認可的慈善組織，所有超過十元以上的奉獻，均可獲得

退稅收據。我們也堅持憑著信心，幫助所有沉溺行為者提供免

費住宿的生命轉化服務，所有求助者都必須親自前來面試。


International Student Ministries Canada (ISMC)

John Cuddeford

As our UBC team looks back, we can see how

God has greatly blessed the ministry on this

campus since we started here less than two years

ago. As I personally look back, I can see how

God has brought me full circle back to the

university I graduated from almost 40 years ago.

The first part of that circle involved work with

the University of Alberta in the field of ecology. I

then spent several years as a missionary in

Holland and Belgium. After graduating from

Regent College I served for 25 years as a pastor in churches in North

Vancouver and the downtown core. Becoming the campus director at

UBC for International Student Ministries Canada completed the circle.

However my passion for international students began long before I

joined ISMC. Soon after my wife Jooling (herself an international

student from Malaysia) and I were married, we held Bible studies with

Japanese students and working with internationals has always been a

great joy to me as a pastor.

Our family lives in North Vancouver. My wife Jooling works in a

financial institution, our eldest son Matt is an environmental engineer

and our youngest son Josh is enrolled at Simon Fraser University. By the

way, Matt graduated from UBC last year as did my father (64 years ago)

– our family has a strong and ongoing connection to this great campus!

As campus director it's my privilege to lead a wonderful team of people

who love and serve international students. Two years ago UBC had no

official Christian club reaching out to this group of 10,000 students, the

largest of any campus in North America - and probably the largest in the

world where Christians are free to share their faith. Now we are

connecting with them through weekly F.O.C.U.S. (“Friends of Overseas

College and University Students”) Club dinners and Bible studies, events

and one-to-one discipleship. Although we invite international students


from every country to join us, at present over 85% of our students are

from China, with roughly half being undergrads and half graduate

students.

Church partnerships are a vital part of our ministry. Recognizing that the

local church has so much to offer the students, we act as a “bridge”

between the campus and the church. As we bring students into local

congregations, we have seen them experience so much more of what God

wants to give them.

We also believe that ministry to international students has much to offer

to churches. This ministry can be as simple as hosting a student for a

Thanksgiving meal or providing a ride to our monthly events. Or it can

take the form of involvement with the students at our weekly campus

FOCUS Club – cooking a meal or helping lead a Bible study. Students

value the role of “Friendship Partners” who will spend time with them

once a month in a great variety of activities – a shared meal or a hike, a

family birthday celebration or just an evening of board games. And of

course the most important gift anyone can give these students is our

prayers; our church partners are vital in this regard. To find out more

We have seen God work powerfully through signs that have pointed

students to Himself. We've been greatly encouraged as we've seen

students give their lives to Christ and grow in their faith and seen

churches involved in praying for and caring for them. But with 10,000

international students on campus, we feel like we’re just scratching the

surface and there are so many opportunities - please pray with us that the

Lord of the Harvest would send more workers! We are excited as we

look forward knowing that the God who has led us faithfully in the past

will continue to do so in the future.

support! I currently work as Campus

Coordinator at Simon Fraser University

(Burnaby) and Langara College

(Vancouver) to raise up student leaders

and build FOCUS Clubs, reaching

hundreds of international students on both

campuses.

Looking back, I'm amazed that God has

built SFU Focus Club with a handful of students and staff on one

Friday night 4 years ago. Now Focus Club has grown to an

international family of friends who host about 50 people, including 40

students from 7 different countries (Brazil, Italy, Russia, Japan,

Korea, Singapore, and Nigeria).

For Grace, she really appreciated

how God is gracious in every

language and culture. For her

friends, they were able to hear the

gospel in their heart language. At SFU Focus Club, students truly

come to know Jesus and what He’s done for us!

This Summer we hosted an

average of 40 students, including

20 new students and 20 returning

students, who come to Focus

Club for food, friendship, fun,

and faith. One of our Japanese

exchange students, S, invited 7

of her Japanese friends to Focus!

We also welcomed 3 new student leaders (June, Richard, and Anita)

from Hong Kong and China who are eager to help and learn.


Disciple-making has grown as well.

Together with the Point Community

Church at SFU, we formed men’s

groups, ladies' groups, and

conducted one-on-one meetings that

connect international students with

Jesus and the Body. We celebrated

with 2 student leaders who were baptized in July: Richard from China,

and Yolanda from China.

This semester I got to spend time with

Richard, who is also learning from Bob

(who led him to Christ), the Point

Church (where he attends), Steve &

Andrew (who host him), and Focus

Club (as discussion group leader). We

practiced for his driving test, studied the Bible together, compared

other religions, and went through life as companions. I am excited to see him stepping forward in his faith! I'm also

prayerful in helping him

prepare to tell his family about

his growing faith in Jesus

Christ. This is difficult for him,

but I'm glad disciple making is

a team effort. As we step

forward together, I'm happy to

take part in Richard's spiritual and life journey. For the coming school year, I am looking forward to training a new

Campus Coordinator for SFU and focus on building an English

Conversation Club at Langara College. I also look forward to partner

with North Shore Pacific Grace Church to

reach international students in North

Vancouver and Capilano University.

燈塔事工 - 為海員們織冷帽分享

腓立比書4:13

我靠著那加給我力量的，凡事都能作

在兩年前參加"燈塔港灣福音事工"的晚宴上，偶然得知有“為

海員們織冷帽”的事工，因為深受感動，隨即立志參與其中。

雖然次日立刻動手做，但實在心有餘而力不足。本來就對織線

活兒不感興趣，再加上沒天份，兩支針常常打架，對我來說難

度真的很高，我因受挫，便將它暫時放下。

然而，我並未因此放棄。花了兩年的時間，參加編織班，由上

下針、長短針等基礎學起，起初為親朋好友織織帽子、圍巾等

小物，到後來更進階為自己織了一件毛衣。

就在我和外子受洗前，突然有個感動，感覺到是重回為海員織

冷帽的時候了。這時，剛好有好幾位姐妹不約而同地走向我，

同時表示想學織冷帽給海員。在無任何準備的情況下，我竟然

不知天高地厚地一口答應了。

剛開始籌備過程中，因為沒有適當的溝通及準備，曾經發生了

個小插曲，讓我心理面臨些許的挑戰。但感謝神在這初嘗服侍

時，適時的提醒我："凡事謙虛，溫柔，忍耐，用愛心互相寬

容。"(弗4:2)，讓我有智慧解決問題，重新往前走。在經過一

番地點的尋找、時間的敲定、確定自己有能力完成成品後，再

加上鄭牧師的支持，終於在教會裡開始組成一個"燈塔海員織

冷帽團隊"。


接下來的每一次聚會，都是在

姊妹們一邊手織愛心冷帽，一

邊溫馨的談笑聲中進行，享受

那滿心的和諧及喜樂。最讓我

驚訝的是，團隊裡滿是編織達

人，感謝神，讓一個沒有編織

恩賜的人，能把精英組織集合

起來，一同服侍。你的恩典夠

我們用的！

經過三個多月的努力，我們完成了70多頂冷帽。就在送出前，

有人提議在帽子裡縫上經文。這會讓海員們在長期離開家園，

鳥瞰茫茫大海，思念家人或無助害怕時，有上帝的話語能適時

地安慰及感動他們，會更有意義和實質的幫助。

在四處收集適當的經文的同時，又再次領受到上帝的垂憐及教

誨，祂的每一句話重重地敲打我的心，滿滿地充實了我，衷心

的獻上感恩。

求主使我們手中的工作，都蒙禰的賜福，讓更多的海員們戴上

溫暖的冷帽，當讀著經文時，心中充滿神帶來的喜樂及平安。
