Partners that attained the status of EcoXpert in 2018 will retain the benefits of that status in 2019, although that level will no longer exist in the program. Those partners will be publicly considered Certified EcoXperts during 2019 however will be eligible only for the benefits that they earned in 2018.

Training requirements are based on the entire company’s documented training on file with the Educational Services team. We recognize that select individuals within an organization will specialize in specific skills and competencies, the training requirements are the culmination of all your employees’ documented classes taken.

Your Regional Partner Expert will provide you with your organization’s current status and any outstanding training required to get your organization to the next level.

Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA)** is a formal definition of metropolitan areas established by the Office of Management and Budget, a division of the U.S. Government. They serve to group counties and cities into specific geographical areas for the purposes of a population census and the compilation of related statistical data. See Appendix 1.

**For partners with multiple locations, the MSA that will be used to designate your MSA will be the highest MSA amongst the locations operated by the partner. Highest reflects the highest population density within a particular geographical area. For example, the highest MSA is 1, New York City. See appendix for details. For those partners with multiple locations, the volume for all your locations will be consolidated to allow you to maximize your business volume and level within the EcoXpert Program.

**Kele products purchased either on iPortal or on Kele.com using your Schneider Electric Loyalty Account will be included in the sales volume and field device ratio calculations.

Loyalty Agreement

Commitment DescriptionCustomer loyalty matters. It gives all of us a competitive advantage. It helps us all build our business with word of mouth marketing, customer retention, rate of patronage, feedback and competitive advantages.

In consideration for the preferential benefits received from the Schneider Electric EcoXpert Program our partner agrees to make every effort to purchase SE manufacturered field device products over similar competitive products.

A Schneider Electric Loyalty Agreement would be signed by all Master Experts and available as an option for Certified Ecoxperts. (Addendum to the annual Memorandum of Understanding)

Exclusivity on New Projects

Commitment DescriptionWe expect our channel members to aggressively promote and sell Schneider Electric products as their primary line. Channel members who demonstrate a strong commitment to the relationship with Schneider Electric by deciding to promote and sell only Schneider Electric products will receive additional benefits and support from Schneider Electric.

With Schneider Electric as the primary line, channel members are freed from the necessity of training for multiple brands of the same type products and can improve their effectiveness by focusing their selling efforts on one primary line. These products require a significant investment on the part of channel members for adequate market development and cannot be effectively sold if the channel members’ selling efforts are diluted by investment in and attention to a competing line.

Schneider Electric recognizes that some channel members may choose to carry competitive products, in order to maintain their customer base. However, Schneider Electric will not appoint or retain a channel member whose attention to a competitive line is likely to result in poor representation of Schneider Electric and a diminished ability to compete aggressively against other brands in the marketplace. **

**Please see our Channel Policy for a complete description.

We require our channel members to aggressively lead with Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Building Operation for new installations.

For example, adoption of EcoStruxure Building Operation 2.0 for new installations, and the transitioning of your existing customer base to EcoStruxture Building Operation, converting your purchasing to Schneider Electric manufactured building products and incorporating Building Advisor into your solution set. We measure this through the products and systems that you purchase over time.

Training Credits - All partners receive training credits each year that can be used to register staff for fee-based classes. Students must register using the Training Form 3 weeks prior to the class start date. Training credits cannot be applied to past purchases, nor registration nor are they eligible for Square D VFD, Access Expert and Professional Development courses. These credits expire at the end of each year. 2019 training vouchers are redeemable against classes attended in 2019 only.

Training credits are redeemable towards the net cost of on-site field courses, Studio360 platform training, and EcoStruxure Building (formerly known as SmartStruxure) Solution Advanced Expert Engineering at a value of $1000 per training credit.

We will honor up to 6 training credits at one time for a partner. If the course cost is more than $1000, the partner would need to surrender 2 or more credits to cover the cost, or use one certificate and pay the additional outstanding balance. If the class is less than $1000, and a training credit is used, the entire credit would be consumed and they can only be used for one course with no exceptions.

Benefit DescriptionProfessional, Industry Experienced Recruiters working for you.

Schneider Electric’s EcoXpert Recruitment Solution enables our partners to benefit from industry experienced recruiters who will exclusively recruit for our partner community. The Rinker Group will be providing this service to Schneider Electric’s EcoXperts at a preferential pricing. Rinker Group will use a modern approach to hiring, have placement expertise and offer you significant discounts based on your status in the EcoXpert Program.

How does it work?

Step 1: Contact - The Rinker Group by clicking on this link to fill out the request form. An email will be sent to The Rinker Group at [email protected] and [email protected]. An initial $1,500 fee will be collected by The Rinker Group as a retainer towards the final fees for each position.

Step 2: Discovery – Once a partner company indicates interest in using these services, a dedicated recruiter will schedule a discovery call with key members of the relevant hiring team to determine needs and other pertinent details for the search. During the discovery call with the hiring manager, The Rinker Group will review with that person and the EcoXpert Principal critical items to ensure mutual success. 1) Best practices for hiring in a candidate market; 2) Hiring pitfalls that will sabotage your candidate pool; 3) Upfront agreement regarding response times; and 4) Access to best-in-class tools such as interview questions, hiring manager training, etc.

Step 3: Design – The recruiter will then determine the best course of action based on your company’s needs. Our recruiters use a number of modern tools and outreach practices including sourcing through social platforms, leveraging local workforce development program and schools, cold calling, and more to tap into a wider talent pool of both active and passive professionals.

Step 4: Delivery – We will deliver a qualified list of candidates and can support the partner company through the interview, offer, and onboarding processes by providing any guidance and needed best practices. We also have job-specific onboarding plans and reviews available for critical positions.

Pricing

Master EcoXpert Partners: 15%

Certified EcoXpert Partners: 18%

Registered Partners: 20%

Percentages are calculated from the base pay of the role to be filled. For sales positions with low base pay or full commission, a $60k base will be applied to calculate the recruitment service rate. The partner will pay The Rinker Group directly for the service.

Exclusive Recruiting Program – $1,500 retainer to initiate search. 50% of fee due at time of offer. 50% due within 30 days of employment minus the initial retainer.

Agreements:

• The EcoXpert Recruitment Team will not recruit from any existing partner staff.

• Previous Schneider Electric staff that applies for positions will be evaluated for eligibility.

• If current Schneider Electric staff applies for positions, The Rinker Group will contact Human Resources to determine the best course of action.

IP Based Buildings Systems Network from Schneider Electric and Cisco (A cybersecure and efficient network technology solution)

Benefit DescriptionSecure, IP-based building systems network

EcoStruxure™ Building delivers an innovative end-to-end IP solution, from the management level to its connected products. To help bridge the OT and IT worlds and maximize the connectivity in smart buildings, Schneider Electric and Cisco have joined in a technology solution partnership. Together, these two companies have developed tested- and validated-designs that provide additional confidence to our EcoXpert™ and other partners that new SmartX IP Controllers will securely connect to an IP network with a resilient architecture that is easy-to-manage.

The Schneider Electric-Cisco Advantage

Schneider Electric is leading the digital transformation of energy management and automation, making it possible for modern IoT-enabled solutions to seamlessly connect, collect, analyze, and act on data in real time— delivering enhanced safety, efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Cisco is laying the foundation for the next generation of digital buildings by converging standalone systems into one IP platform. Together, these companies are driving major advances in making smart buildings the standard.

Technology Partnership Benefits and Features

Schneider Electric and Cisco have extended their Solution Technology Integrator agreement to qualified EcoXperts, providing several benefits. Once an EcoXpert creates a Cisco account, they will participate in specialized training and certification programs, which qualify them as “Cisco Select” or higher-level partners. As such, Partners gain access to Cisco wholesalers/distributors and may sell select products identified in the joint offer directly to their own customers.

Partners benefit from simplified and predictable pricing at attractive discounts on Cisco products (from 56% to 62%, plus an incentive of up to 6% on qualified new deals), including Industrial Ethernet Switches, Catalyst Switches, Industrial Network Director (IND) software, and more. Best of all, the solution has been tested and validated to work upon deployment within the EcoStruxure Building architecture, saving you valuable time and resources.

These five simple steps are required to get started and participate in this exciting opportunity:

Step 1 - Create a Cisco ID (CCO ID) for your company and associate the CCO ID with Schneider Electric.

Step 2 - Enroll for the Solution Technology Integrator (STI) Extension, which provides access to the program as well as Cisco partner tools and training.

Step 3 - Complete specialized Certification and Training programs to become a Cisco Select Partner (or higher).

Step 4 - Register your deals and opportunities in the Cisco Commerce Workspace (CCW).

Step 5 - Purchase Cisco products at attractive discounts from regional Cisco authorized wholesalers.

For more information on these five steps and links to Cisco resources can be found on The Exchange extranet.

https://ecobuilding.schneider-electric.com/

Please note that these purchases are not included as part of the Ecoxpert Program calculations.
