ON-SITE ORGANIZATION
Increasing power consumption, CO reduction, growing2
mobility or progressing automation – all of these futuremegatrends are not possible without powerful electricdrives. The electrification of the automobile powertrainsystem is considered crucial, as the whole sector is facingdifficulties resulting from the substitution of the completeconventional powertrain. At the same time performanceimprovements and productivity gains can be reached also inindustry with new materials, efficient manufacturingprocesses and integrated production systems.
The international Electric Drives Production Conference andExhibition offers an outstanding platform for the exchangeof experiences for researchers, product developers, production experts, purchasers and potential users.
The offers on two days more than 80 technical papersE|DPCin total of eight tracks: four of them concentrate on the coretopics of electric drives production technologies, materialsand systems. The focus of the globally accompanyingconference on Energy Transfer in Electric Vehicles ( ) isE|TEVset on the technology of wireless power transmission. For thefirst time the Energy Storage Production Conference ( )E|SPCopens up new ideas and synergies at the same occasion. Andlast but not least the conference is hosting the wellestablished VDMA (German Association of Machine ToolMaker) symposium .e-motive
Completing the conference, a comprehensive industrialexhibition, tutorials, poster presentations, technicaltours social programand an inspiring will be offered.

Modern demands and extended solutions for power electronics enables highly
integrated electric drives with increased power density and improved energy efficiency.
This tutorial provides an overview on today’s challenges and BMBF funded Propower
project based on possibilities in power electronics packaging with emphasis on
integration and manufacturing technologies. Different levels of packaging for power
modules with respect to cost-efficiency and reliability will be presented and evaluated
for the future needs in electronic drives technology.
In this tutorial Marsilli is presenting manufacturing solutions and technologies for the
complete process chain of the BLDC stator production. Discussion about the design
needs of the product will be an important aspect to guarantee the feasibility of a cost
efficient production solution. The area of interest that will be touched are the following:
- Poles preparation methodologies
- Winding methodologies
- Pole assembly methodologies
- Pole connection methodologies
- Wire connection methodologies
- Practical examples of realized solution.
This tutorial introduces the participants to a variety of measurement technologies for
fast and accurate inspection of permanent magnets of rotors, soft magnetic and hard
magnetic materials in research, development, production and quality control of electric
drives. Through a live demonstration of the various measurement and analysis
capabilities of the systems the participants obtain an expanded understanding of
advanced inspection possibilities in different fields of applications.
This tutorial will give you an overview of the possibilities using laser technology for the
production of e-mobility parts. Within the first part of this tutorial we will present you
new design possibilities for lightweight design and complex parts using only sheet
metal and standard machines. In the second block you will learn about laser cutting
technology now and in the future, especially for cutting electrical sheets, electrode foils
and tubes. After an overview of bending applications for producing 3D-parts from 2D
metal sheets, we will present you welding application in the field of e-mobility,
including e.g. welding of copper, aluminium and mixed materials.
