Kindergartens :
Children attend kindergarten from age 3 to 6 years of age. Today, "AcaDemon"for children 6 year old is no longer mandatory. "Preschools" are held in pre-school but also have the right to establish such a branch.
Elementary schools :
A six-year school is divided into two three-year stages. The first stage comprises classes I to III, an essential part of a block of courses called "integrated education" - classes are conducted by one teacher acting also as educators.
In classes IV-VI, different teachers teach subjects, with one (teacher) is responsible for her class. Taught:
* Polish language
* a modern foreign language
* Mathematics
* Nature
* history and society
* music
* art
* Techniques
* IT
* Physical Education
Middle schools :
Students attending the school are young people aged 13-16 years. Teaching at this stage is general in nature and teach the following subjects:
* Polish language * History * knowledge of the society * art * music * a modern foreign language * a second modern foreign language * Mathematics * physics and astronomy
* Chemistry * Biology * geography * IT * Techniques * Physical Education * artistic activities * a technical * education, safety
Learning in school gymnasium ends with an
examination, written by the students of classes III
in April.
Secondary schools :
There are some types of secondary schools:
1. Three secondary schools
2. Four-year engineering
3. Three special schools
4. ETC.
In Poland there are also art schools.
Scale of assessment:
* excellent - 6
* very good - 5
* Good - 4
* sufficient - 3
* permitting - 2
* inadequate - 1
