Power Plant ControllerScalability

In order to comply with worldwide Grid Utilities, the PPC offers great scalability :

Embedded operation modes can be adjusted for each countries

The PPC functions can be adjusted depending the PPC type : PPC Universal

or PPC Evolution.

The Point of Connection can be on Medium or High voltage

The PPC can communicate with the Grid Utility through various

communication protocols (DNP3, IEC61850, IEC104, Analog and Digital

Input/Output, …)

Voltage control and reactive power operation modes can be activated during

the day and during the night

Storage in the “Smart grid” – Venteea, France

Overview

• Commissioned in June 2015

• Implemented an energy storage system on a rural 20 kV

network in the vicinity of two decentralized wind farms (6 and 12

MW) to help stabilize the high voltage swings of the MV

substation

Business Need

• MV substation at the end of the transmission line was seeing

high voltage swings
