The compressor is part of a refrigerant circulation and serves to compress the refrigerantwhile heating at the same time. The drive motor is housed in the compressor and anintegral part of the equipment. The equipment is thus viewed an electrical equipment.

The electrical connection and the potential equalisation must be designed in accordancewith EN 60079-0:2004 and EN 60079-14:2003.
