Blended Learning

• ‘blended learning’, is where face-to-face and online teaching are integrated.

• It is important to differentiate between “Blended Learning” & “Blended Teaching”.

• Blended learning is the outcome from mixing two methods of teaching.

• Blended teaching is the use of mixed tools to teach (could be with one method of teaching but using different tools)

The generic aspects of e-learning…

• Learning is centered around the interests of the learner;

• Learning is immersive – learning by doing;

• The computer connects the students to the rest of the world.

The values of e-learning

Why E-learning?!!!!!

• World today have a shortage of human elements which have the ability to

deliver our curriculum in best forms.

• Some schools and higher education institutions have turned in to just a formal

way of attendance without any truthful achievement in learning.

• The tremendous increasing in the students population every year made the

educational institutions more like a handicap dealing with a traffic jam.

• The large amount of money spent every year in order to develop our

educational institutions without any real differences in the learning outcomes.

All these reasons and others forced me to think of using quality e-learning

systems as an efficient method to deliver our curriculum with.

Page 6: Elearning Values

For the case of the Egyptian Higher Education, the involved factors with establishing a quality e-learning system are:

• Stakeholders satisfaction;

• Learning outcomes;

• Environment facilities;

• Assessment facilities during establishment.

Page 7: Elearning Values

The quality e-learning system must contain almost all the facilities that address all types of students.

Environment Facilities

Page 8: Elearning Values

But how could we include all the activities in our e-learning systems with the

huge number of applications appearing

every hour?

Environment Facilities

Personalised learning make the student alone in the e-learning systems like a tree in the desert.

What it is going to be?.....Collaborative learning.. Or .. Personalised learning?

Environment Facilities

Whilst Collaboration can make it *immeasurable efforts.

*argumentative environment.
