FEATURED MATERIALSLIMESTONESmall fossils and calcified veins (very fine black lines which can be misinterpreted as cracks) are an inherent feature ofnatural limestone and whilst every care is taken to select the clearest material some are likely to be present.Due to the high moisture content of limestone, fireplaces will dry over time and become lighter in appearance.Care must be taken before and during installation, as all fireplaces are untreated and are susceptible to discolouration. It is recommended that the completed installation is allowed to dry thoroughly and then sealed with a proprietary sealer. We recommend the ‘LTP’ range of Stonecare products available from your retailer.
VEINED LIMESTONEOriginating from Portugal this material contains fossilised remains resulting in natural linear veining throughout.Cool to the touch and with a smooth matt finish, this material remains one of our most popular.
ROSAL LIMESTONEThis Portuguese material is specially selected for its clarity and lack of fossiling (although some will be present).Lighter in colour than the above, the overall appearance is that of subtle shades and swirls.
CHAMOT LIMESTONEQuarried in France this hard wearing material has a distinctive appearance. It is speckled with a myriad of small fossils, ensuring each fireplace will be truly unique.
AEGEAN LIMESTONEAlso known as Turkish limestone this off-white material is fine grained and infused with thousands of minute fossils.During the manufacturing process many of these become loosened resulting in ‘pitting’ across the material surface. This is a characteristic of the material and adds to the natural beauty of the product.
ANATOLIAN BROWN MARBLEImported from Turkey this natural marble contains a network of fine veins and brecciations. For these reasons it isstopped and filled prior to polishing, although the material will still feature surface crazing after this process.
ARISTON MICROMARBLEThis is a man made material comprising 95% natural marble and 5% resin mixed with a pigment colouring. The resultingproduct is consistent in colour and an attractive alternative to natural marble.
BLACK GRANITEThis is a very dense, hard wearing igneous stone with a high resistance to scratching and staining. Due to its crystallinestructure granite can be highly polished or honed to a consistent colour and deep lustre.
INSTALLATIONHaving a new fireplace installed is a major project and it is advisable to prepare yourself as well as possible. Pleaseensure your chosen fireplace will physically fit your chimney breast and that it is compatible with the intended heatingappliance. The best way to confirm this will be to organise a home survey with the retailer or your installer prior topurchase. All installations must be carried out in accordance with the requirements set out in the Building Regulationdocuments, paying particular attention to Approved Document J. It is essential to confirm with your retailer that yournew fireplace will be installed appropriately.
PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONAll the fireplaces in this brochure are hand finished. As such, all measurements are approximate and may vary slightlyfrom those published. The fireplaces are manufactured from natural materials and colour and veining variation willoccur from photographs, printed material and any showroom displays that relate to these products. Any variation isoutside our control and cannot be regarded as faulty or substandard. Due to the nature of the materials used inconstruction of these fireplaces it may be necessary to reinforce or use suitable filler to eliminate brecciation in the material.Tiletec has a continuous research and development programme which may necessitate changes to sizes and specificationswithout prior notification. If any size is critical this should be made clear to your retailer at the point of order.
THE TILETEC PLEDGEYou can purchase any of the products shown in this brochure with total confidence. In the unlikely event that there isa defect discovered on unpacking, a replacement part will be supplied without hesitation. Of course, this requires the products to be fully inspected prior to installation as no responsibility for refitting orredecoration can be accepted if defective products have been installed or products have been damaged during installation. In these cases and in the case of accidental damage after installation, in-situ repairs might be possible. Please refer toyour retailer for further information.
This brochure shows our latest range of
electric fires and stoves featured in a
selection of new and existing fireplaces
from the ‘Bliss Natural Collection’.
The Solstice and Equinox can be easily
fitted into a chimney breast with either a
fascia panel or fireplace suite. Alternatively
they can be installed into a standard cavity
wall when incorporated with a suitably
rebated surround. They can be fully serviced
and maintained from the front with no need
to remove the fire or fireplace.
The Brooklyn inset electric fire will fit a
standard 16” fire opening. A flat wall
installation is possible using a 3” rebated
fireplace. With three fuel beds supplied
and choice of frame and fret it will
complement any interior.
The Staten electric stove is made from
heavy gauge mild steel and has a cast iron
door with a large picture window. Top
quality construction, a realistic log fuel bed
and high level heater make this one of the
best products on the market.
