Principals Report

I would like to say a very big thank you to our Kindergarten staff, Mrs Tarrant, Mrs Williams and Ms McInnes, for organising and

delivering such a wonderful Kinder Orientation program. The support of our dedicated office administrative team is also very

much appreciated.

I am excited to announce that next week, the Start Smart Commonwealth Bank program is coming to our school on Tuesday,

Wednesday and Thursday to present lessons to all of our K-6 students. The Start Smart program changes the way young people

learn about money by making money management interactive, engaging and fun. Start Smart equips students with the

confidence and competence to make smart decisions about money.

Friday 17th November 2017 was the third and final 2018 Kinder orientation. The orientation sessions were a great success and

provided teachers and children alike, the opportunity to get to know each other. A special mention to EVPS year 5 students,

who were mature and respectful role models for our 2018 Kinder students during our second and third orientations. I am sure

the year 5 ‘buddies’ are looking forward to continuing the responsibility of mentoring a Kinder buddy in 2018, just as much as

their little buddies are looking forward to their care and support as they begin Kindergarten.

Once again, we welcome our 2018 Kinder students and their families to our EVPS community and look forward to seeing you

soon!

P&C Meeting

Our last P&C meeting for the year will be held next Tuesday, 21st November at 7pm in the library. All welcome!

Rogaining Day – Volunteers Needed

We still need volunteers for the Rogaining Day on Sunday, 26th November, particularly over the lunch time period from

12.00pm to 3.00pm. If you are able to give an hour or so of your time on the day, it would be greatly appreciated.

CAPA

CAPA has had a wonderful year representing our school at various performances and we wanted to let you know that

we will be continuing with our many wonderful CAPA groups in 2018.

Milkshake Day is coming!

The canteen will be selling milkshakes on Thursday, 30th November. Bring your $2 at recess or lunch and pick from any of

the delicious flavours – chocolate, strawberry, caramel or vanilla. What’s your favourite?
