As we start our third month, we are having great times in ourLodge. We have hired a new chef, which has been doing an amazingjob - thank you Miss Ida! She has new ideas and her food is exception-al. We also have a great volunteer with Kathy Papson; she has takenthe responsibility of our rentals and is doing a great job. We also

have Debbie and Sheryl always doing an amazing job with the many things theydo. I would like to thank Gaea, for doing all of the calling and emailing to try to getvolunteers to help us with what we do.We have a great family of Elks and they areworking together. I hope that we, as a family of Elks, can stand together and worktogether because without a family, we cannot run a successful business.

Membership is always first in our order and we have been doing very well atbringing in new members and hope you, as members are also helping to bring innew and younger members as well. I want to thank Floyd Taylor for coming back asan officer and I am happy to see you and Joyce back in the Lodge having fun.

I am having trouble trying to pick one volunteer of the month as there areso many people doing great things. One person who stands out is Kathy Papson.She has stepped up and has brought our rentals to another level. Thank you for allyou do, Kathy - I am proud to have you as Elk of the Month and a great team mem-ber!

SCHOLARSHIP RECOGNITION DINNER

Please join us on June 11, 2021, at our regular Friday night dinner,as we celebrate and honor all of our Elks scholarship recipients, includingtwo Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Scholars, sponsoredby our Lodge, as well as our three Ormond Beach Elks Lodge Scholars.Students and their families will be treated to a delicious spaghetti dinner,and each recipient will be presented with a certificate. Congratulations andbest wishes to all of our scholarship recipients, and, thank you, members,for your generous donations that support these scholarships and theseoutstanding students each year. Hello all! I'm happy to report that membership dues are stillcoming in weekly. We are down to 96 delinquent members. If youdon't have a green card, you are delinquent. All cards are mailedout and if you haven't received your card within two weeks, pleasecontact the office at 386-677-6367 or email me [email protected]. As always, I'm here if you need meand I try my best to answer all calls within 24 hours from when Ireceive them. Thank you again for allowing me to serve you and Ilook forward to seeing you around the Lodge.

Things are going extremely well for rentals and events at theLodge. We have many fun events coming up and if you need spacefor an event or gathering, contact Kathy Papson [email protected] to see how we canhelp.

We have our Vice President for the East Central District, BartPeterson, visit coming up on June 12. Dinner tickets are available at$12 and includes a delicious pork chop dinner with all the fixings anddessert. Contact [email protected] for your tickets.Also, volunteer servers and kitchen help are needed, so if you havea few hours to spare, we would be happy to have you! Contact Gaeaat [email protected]

Our Tuesday Kards4Kids, Wednesday and Friday dinners aregoing well and our members are slowly returning to enjoy what theLodge has to offer. Invite your friends for an evening at the Lodge.Help us honor all Dads with a scrumptious spaghetti dinner onFather’s Day, Sunday, June 20 from 4 to 6 pm. Dinner is with ourcompliments for Dads, $10 for guests.

Our next House Committee meeting is Monday, June 7 at6:30 pm. Come see what we’re working on and bring your new ideasand suggestions – we welcome all!Debbie Brozyna, House Committee
