Oladapo Badmos ’17 led the Purple and Gold with 13 points and four assists in 22 minutes off the bench.

Bench Scoring: Out of EC’s 51 total points against the Sax-ons, 31 came from players who came off the bench. That is the most bench points scored all season, and the most an Elmira team has posted since January 25, 2013. On that date, the Soaring Eagles recorded 32 bench points in an 88-62 win over Hartwick College.

Back-to-Back Games: Oladapo Badmos ’17 led the Purple and Gold with 13 points against Alfred University on Tues-day, marking the second consecutive game that the sopho-more guard has led the team in scoring. He shot 5-of-7 from the floor against the Saxons, and in addition to his team-leading 13 points, he also handed out four assists.

Leading the Empire 8: Justin Henderson ’16 has had a breakout season, averaging 10.8 points per game entering this weekend of play. Henderson’s success on the floor can mostly be attributed to his ability to shoot from distance as the junior guard has hit 30-of-60 three-pointers in the season’s first 10 games. His three-point shooting percentage of 50.0 percent has him in a tie for first place in the Empire 8 Conference with Utica’s Conor Maisch ’15.

Looking Ahead: EC has a short turnaround as they return to Speidel Gymnasium tomorrow afternoon to take on Houghton College in an Empire 8 contest. Tip-off is sched-uled for 4:00 p.m.
