Next dates• 19-20/2/2014 21st Meeting of the MODEG, Oostende• May 2014 2nd EMODnet Steering Committee Meeting

New scheduling for bi-monthly reporting

Indicators proposed for the reporting (Dick Schaap)

3 use cases for the Central Portal (interaction among portals):Uc1: combined output from different data productsUc2: Benthic Index Calculation (BEQI)Uc3: coastal data

3rd Progress Report with statistics on

• number of CDI per Discovery Parameter – 1) volume of data

• number of CDI per Partner – 2) organization supplying data

To compute it easily from the CDI User Interface, we need improvements of the C19 vocabulary coverage and descriptions:

• addition of Macaronesia and Iberian coast (shape files needed)

• harmonization of the existing terms with MSFD regional seas (Baltic sea and Celtic sea)

Data collection and metadata compilation in sea regions (WP1):

● Overview of the data collection from the regional leaders (10 min. each),

● Proposal for a data central buffer (Dick Schaap),● Parameters (P01 and P02) for extended Chemistry 2 scope

(Dick Schaap),● Sea regions definition (Neil Holdsworth),

Data collection and metadata compilation in sea regions (WP1) - workflow

Role of the Regional Leaders:● To collect bi-monthly updates of available data

Role of the all Partners:● To gather all identified datasets● To convert all gathered data on ODV format and release a copy

to the relevant regional leader● To compile metadata in CDI format and send all CDI entries to

Maris (to populate the CDI data Discovery and Access Service, linked to a local copy of ODV data

Role of the Coordinator: ask bi-monthly (?) progress in data gathering to all partners

Data collection and metadata compilation in sea regions (WP1):

● Data policy issues highlighted by Julie Gatti, who made data request via SDN CDI Service and was asked to sign an agreement (MERMAN Public Data Supply Agreement)

- data must be made available for products -● River inflow data were asked in the call, what shall we do?

- investigate existing database at national level -
