THE INDIAN NAVY 10+2 CADET (B TECH) ENTRY SCHEME (PERMANENT COMMISSION

COURSE COMMENCING- JAN-20l2

Applications are invited from Unmarried Male Candidates to join the prestigious Indian Naval

Academy, Ezhimala, and Kerala under 10+ 2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme.

ELIGIBILITY

Educational Qualification: Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from

UniversityIBoardwith at least 70 % aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM)

and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII)

Age: 17 to 19Y2years (i.e. born between 02 Jul1991 & 01 Jan 1994. (both dates inclusive).

Physical Standards :

(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height - 157 cms with correlated weight as per age.

(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/12, 6/

12 correctable to 6/6, 6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind.

Note: There will be no relaxation in physical standards.

SELECTION PROCEDURE

The selection procedure for the Entry is as follows:-

Stage1: Selection is based on PCM marks in 10+2/equivalent Examination short listed candidates will

be scheduled called for SSB Interview

SSB Interviews is 5 days, consisting stage l(day one) and Stage II (four days).Stage I tests consists of

Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion tests (PDPT)

Stage 11:-Tests consist of Psychological tests, Group Task tests, Group discussion and, Interview"L

'.Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Examination

TRAINING

Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for four year B Tech course in Electronics &

Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Kerala. During

the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Technical (Engineering, Electrical or Naval Architect)

Branch. On completion of the course, B Tech Degree will be awarded by Jawahar Lal Nehru

University (JNU).

Applications are invited from unmarried, Male Candidates who have passed 10+2examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (Hereinafter referred to as PCM)Subjects and fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the subsequent paragraphs, forthe grant of Permanent Commission or Short Service Commission (SSC) in the Armyafter 4 years of Basic Military Training and Technical Training

ELIGIBILITY

Educational Qualification: Only those candidates who have passed 10+2 Examinationor its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 70% marks in Physics Chemistry andMathematics are eligible to apply for this entry.

Age limit: Age limit Sex and Marital Status: Only unmarried male candidates are eligiblefor the entry. A candidate must not be below 16 'l; years and above 19 'l; years on thefirst day of the month in which the course is commencing i.e. the candidate should not beborn before 01 Jul1992 and not after 01 Jul1995 (both days inclusive).

SELECTION PROCEDURE

Short listed candidates will be called for Services Selection Board (SSB) interview whichconsist of Stage I& Stage II.Stage I consist of Psychological Test, Group Test and Interviews. Candidates qualifyingStage I will under go Stage II Test which consist of psychologically originated testincluding Intelligence Test. Successful candidates at the SSB will be required to undergomedical test .
