Employment Resource HANDBOOK
______________________________________________________________________________
June 2011
First Edition
Compiled and Distributed by:
Congressman Ra úl M. Grijalva
Dear Friend,
Job creation is my top priority in Congress. While there are some signs of an economic recovery,
far too many of our neighbors are out of work and struggling to find new positions. That’s why
I’m happy to provide this guidebook, which helps you navigate the labor market. I believe
representing you in Congress means lending a hand and offering practical assistance. That’s what
this guide is about.
If you’re looking for a job, hoping to earn more money, wanting to change careers or needing
comprehensive job-related services, this guidebook will provide you with suggestions on how to
move forward. You can use it to locate resources in your area that will help you find the
education, training and information you need to get a job, find a new career and access vital
services.
This is both a local and a national issue. By focusing on job creation, small businesses, energy
independence, and tax fairness, we can re-energize our economy in a way that puts Arizonans –
and Americans everywhere – back to work. That’s good news for everyone, and it’s something
I’ve been working on since coming to Congress.
As always, please feel free to contact me at my offices in Tucson, Somerton and Washington,
D.C. I look forward to hearing from you and, hopefully, visiting with you during my travels
throughout Southern Arizona.
Sincerely,
U.S. Rep. Raúl M. Grijalva
Member of Congress
7th
District, Arizona
