The commission meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the city commission room. The usual study session has been canceled. The cable franchise has been negotiated for several weeks with Enid attorney Bryce Kennedy representing the city. Kennedy negotiated the original cable television contract. In the proposed 10-year contract, Suddenlink will agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the current license. Staff Photos by BILLY HEFTON ‘We will never forget’ By Kasey Fowler Staff Writer The 10th annual Woodring Wall Honor Memorial Day ceremonies drew a large crowd Monday morning to honor veterans and fallen soldiers. State Rep. John Enns, R-Enid, opened and emceed the event. “It is an honor and a privilege to recognize our veterans. We honor all people who served in our armed serv- ices, with a special emphasis on the Vietnam veterans,” Enns said. Enns then introduced Enid mayor John Criner to welcome those gath- ered. “I’m afraid people will forget the holiday, forget the meaning,” said Criner. “For those of you who have sacrificed parts of your family, we can- not say enough.
