Extension of Suddenlink’s contract to provide cable televi-sion services in Enid will be considered by Enid city commis-sioners today.
The commission meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the citycommission room. The usual study session has been canceled.
The cable franchise has been negotiated for several weekswith Enid attorney Bryce Kennedy representing the city.Kennedy negotiated the original cable television contract.
In the proposed 10-year contract, Suddenlink will agree tobe bound by the terms and conditions of the current license.This includes extending the PEGASYS lease agreement by 10years, paying $25,000 for the purpose of funding capital pur-

The 10th annual Woodring WallHonor Memorial Day ceremoniesdrew a large crowd Monday morningto honor veterans and fallen soldiers.
State Rep. John Enns, R-Enid,opened and emceed the event.
“It is an honor and a privilege torecognize our veterans. We honor allpeople who served in our armed serv-ices, with a special emphasis on theVietnam veterans,” Enns said.
Enns then introduced Enid mayorJohn Criner to welcome those gath-ered.
“I’m afraid people will forget theholiday, forget the meaning,” saidCriner. “For those of you who havesacrificed parts of your family, we can-not say enough. Thank you are twoshallow words.”
