For example, the chart candisplay one minute, one hour, one day,one week, one month or one year.Temperature and humidity can becharted across the full span (0-70°C,and 0-100% RH) or within any narrowrange such as (20-30°C). When asecond sensor is added, users canselect a chart that records channel 1,channel 2 or the difference of the twochannels.

Display and Chart Two Channels(models iTHX-W and iTHX-2 only)The iTHX transmitters come completewith a temperature and humidity probefor measurement of a single location. With the addition of a second probe, the iTHX transmitter can measure anddisplay temperature, humidity anddew point in a second location up totwenty feet away.

The transmitter can display and chartabsolute measurements in bothlocations, or a differential measurementbetween the two locations. Thesecond probe requires no change tothe basic iTHX transmitter hardware, firmware or software.

HOMEPAGE

The NEWPORT® iFPX Internet Counter puts “dumb” dataon the World Wide Web. This revolutionary technologytransmits virtually any conventional counting application upto 500 KHz over an Ethernet network or the Internet. The NEWPORT iFPX (Internet Frequency PulseTransmitter) can count contacts from the simplest button orswitch, as well as count pulses from most any conventionaltransducer such as a proximity sensor or quadratureencoder. The iFPX converts raw data to intelligentinformation. The iFPX can be configured as a virtual version of mostany Rate/Frequency Meter, Totalizer, or Batch Controller. Itis a node on an Ethernet network with a unique IP addressand serves the data to any authorized computer on a LAN,WAN or the Internet. Set points can be programmed totrigger an alarm and even send email automatically to aWeb-enabled cell phone. No special software or drivers are required. A user can typethe unit’s IP address (or assigned name) on the addressline of a Web Browser such as Internet Explorer. Thedevice then serves actual JAVA based active Web pagesthat present the information numerically and graphically. The iFPX supports the common Ethernet/InternetProtocols: TCP, UDP, ARP, Telnet, DHCP, DNS, and HTTP.The device integrates seamlessly with data acquisition andindustrial automation program. THe iFPX offers passwordprotection for security. The NEWPORT iFPX provides two discrete input/outputchannels. For applications that use two inputs, it canperform calculations with the data from channels A and Bthat can be presented numerically or graphically, such ascharting position on an XY graph. The NEWPORT iFPX is offered as a PC board for OEMapplications, and as a stand-alone device suitable forindustrial or commercial applications.

It is easily configured with a simple menuusing a Web Browser and can be password protected. From within an Ethernet LAN or over the Internet, the usersimply types its IP address or an easy to remember namesuch as "Cleanroom 5" or "Midwest Server Room" in anyWeb Browser, and the iBTHX serves a Web Page with thecurrent readings.Typical ApplicationsThe NEWPORT iBTHX is great for monitoring temperature+ humidity in applications such as: clean rooms, computerrooms, HVAC systems, pharmaceutical and foodprocessing and storage, hospitals, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, electronic assembly, warehousing,

museums,manufacturing,greenhouses, farmanimal shelters,and many more.

NEW iBTX-M with Flash Memory and LCD DisplayThe NEWPORT model iBTX-M with LCD display, addsseveral valuable features in addition to the backlit localdisplay of temperature and barometric pressure. The “Memory” model comes complete with a removable 2Megabyte Flash Memory card that can store one full yearof readings taken at one minute intervals (or two months ofreadings taken at ten second intervals). Up to four years of temperature + pressure readings canbe stored on the 8 Megabyte card. With data being recorded in the built-in nonvolatile flashmemory, a failure on the Ethernet network will not interruptthe data record.Alarm RelaysThe NEWPORT iBTX-M features two 1.5 Amp relays. Withthe easy Web-based setup page, the two relays can beprogrammed for any combination of temperature orpressure, and high or low set points. The relays can alsobe programmed to remain latched and require a manualreset if a limit is exceeded.Email AlarmsIn addition to the mechanical alarm relays, all NEWPORTiBTHX models that are on a LAN that is connected to theInternet can trigger an alarm that can be sent by email to auser or a distribution list anywhere in the world, includingan Internet enabled pager or cell phone.

Battery BackupThe iBTX-M comes with a universal ac adapter. A standard9 Volt Alkaline battery (also included) allows the device tolog data for up to 10 days without external ac power. Inlocations without power or network accessibility, the iBTX-M continues logging data to its flash memory. The storeddata can later be downloaded over the Ethernet.NEWPORT iServer products are designed andmanufactured in Santa Ana, California.

Signal ConditionersQUALITY and TECHNOLOGYDesigned and manufactured in theUSA, the innovative NEWPORT® DINRail iSeries feature an extended five(5) YEAR warranty at no extra charge. The iSeries packs a wealth of powerand features into the smallest ofpackages, utilizing COB (chip-on-board) and SMT (surface mounttechnology) assembly techniques and automation. Every iSeries instrument is thoroughlycalibrated and tested at several stagesthroughout production. The iSeries offers the highestaccuracy for industrial instrumentationat 0.03% of reading. The analog-to-digital conversion utilizes a proprietary20-bit ASIC (application specificintegrated circuit) patented algorithmsand smart filtering.Universal InputsThe innovative iSeries offers thebroadest selection of signal inputsavailable on one industrial instrument. The choices are easily selected fromthe remote programmer menu withfour front panel pushbuttons, or byserial or Ethernet communications.10 Thermocouple TypesThe iSeries handles TEN (10)thermocouple types: K, J, T, E, R, S,B, C, N, and J DIN. The patentedthermocouple linearization algorithmsemployed in the iSeries produce thehighest standard of accuracy. Most Accurate RTD MeasurementsThe iSeries works with the widestselection of RTD's and produces themost accurate RTD measurements.Handles both Pt 0.00385 and 0.00392curves, and 100 (ohm), 500 (ohm) and1000 (ohm). A choice of 2-, 3- and 4-wire RTD connections ensures theabsolute highest degree of accuracy.Process Voltage and CurrentThe iSeries measures processvoltage: 0-100 mVdc, 0-1Vdc, 0-10Vdcranges, and process current: 0-20 mA.Strain GaugeThe Strain/Process (model iSDR)instruments measure inputs from Load Cells, Pressure Transducers, and most any strain gauge sensor, aswell as Process Voltage and Currentranges. Input ranges include 0 to 100 mVdc, -100 mVdc to 1 Vdc, 0 to 10 Vdc in addition to 0-20 mA.The iSDR supports 4 and 6-wirebridge configurations, ratiometric andnon-ratiometric measurements.

The iSDR features fast and easy "inprocess" calibration/scaling of thesignal inputs to any engineering units. The iSDR also features 10 PointLinearization which allows the user tolinearize the signal input from extremelynonlinear transducers of all kinds.Built-in Excitation StandardThe Temperature/Process (model“iDR” and “iDRA”) comes standardwith built-in excitation (24Vdc@25mA).Any excitation voltage between 5 and24 Vdc is available by special order. This means the same instrument canhandle thermocouple, standard RTD's,or 4-20 mA transmitters, with themeter’s built-in excitation. The strain/process (model “iSDR”)comes standard with built-in excitationof 10Vdc @ 60mA, 5Vdc @ 40 mAexcitation is user selectable.Built-in excitation is not available withoptional isolated RS-232/ RS-485 serialcommunications or DC power option.Control FunctionsThe iSeries can control simple manualoperation to ON-OFF and full AutotunePID control. (Selectable preset tune, adaptive tune, PID, PI, PD controlmodes.) The dual control outputs can beconfigured for a variety of independentcontrol and alarm applications such asheat/heat, heat/cool, heat/alarm,cool/cool, cool/alarm or alarm/alarm. The ramp-to-setpoint feature allowsthe user to define the rate of rise tosetpoint, minimizing thermal shock tothe load during start-up. Maximumramp time: 99.59 (HH.MM), Soak: 00.00 to 99.59 (HH.MM),Damping: 1 to 8 in unit steps. For those who only need simplifiedmenus and no PID control, there is aLimit Alarm (-AL) option available.Control or Alarm OutputsA choice of two control or alarmoutputs in almost any combination:solid state relays (SSR) rated at 0.5A@120/240 Vac; Form "C" SPDT(Single Pole Double Throw) relaysrated at 3 amps @120/240 Vac;pulsed 10 Vdc output for use with anexternal SSRAnalog OutputThe optional analog output can beprogrammed within a range of 0-10 Vdc or 0-20 mA. It is selectableas either a control output or as acalibrated retransmission of theprocess value -- a unique featureamong controllers.

Optional Remote Programmer /Color DisplayThe remote programmer/display canbe programmed to change color at anyset point or alarm point. For example, the instrument can be programmed todisplay the process value in GREENduring warm-up, switching to AMBERto signal the normal operating range, and in RED to signal an alarmcondition. The changes in color are quickly seenfrom a distance, and machineoperators can intuitively react tochanging conditions. The colors canbe programmed to change back whenthe value drops back below the alarmpoint or to "latch" on until being resetby the operator. The instrument can also be program-med to display only one unchangingcolor: GREEN, AMBER, or RED. This is a useful way to let an operatoridentify, at a glance, process values inthree separate locations, or to displaythree different measurements such asTemperature, Pressure, and Flow.

Display and Chart Measurements The iPTX transmitters come complete with a air pressure /temperature probe for measurement of a single location.

Award-winning TechnologyThe NEWPORT iPTX is simple to install and use, andfeatures NEWPORT’s award-winning iServer technologythat requires no special software except a Web Browser.

The iPTX connects to an Ethernet Network with a standardRJ45 connector and sends data in standard TCP/IPpackets. It is easily configured with a simple menu using aWeb Browser and can be password protected.

From within an Ethernet LAN or over the Internet, the usersimply types its IP address or an easy to remember namesuch as "Cleanroom 5" or "Midwest Server Room" in anyWeb Browser, and the iPTX serves a Web Page with thecurrent readings.

Typical ApplicationsThe NEWPORT iPTX is great for monitoring air (inert gas)pressure and temperature in applications such as: HVACsystems, pharmaceutical and food processing and storage, hospitals, laboratories, semiconductor fabs, electronicassembly, warehousing, manufacturing, greenhouses, farm animal shelters, and many more.

NEW iPTX-M with Flash Memory and LCD DisplayThe NEWPORT model iPTX-M with LCD display, addsseveral valuable features in addition to the backlit localdisplay of temperature and air pressure.

The “Memory” model comes complete with a removable 2 Megabyte Flash Memory card that can store one full yearof readings taken at one minute intervals (or two months ofreadings taken at ten second intervals).

Up to four years of temperature + pressure readings canbe stored on the 8 Megabyte card.

With data being recorded in the built-in nonvolatile flashmemory, a failure on the Ethernet network will not interruptthe data record.

Alarm RelaysThe NEWPORT iPTX-M features two 1.5 Amp relays. Withthe easy Web-based setup page, the two relays can beprogrammed for any combination of temperature orpressure, and high or low set points. The relays can alsobe programmed to remain latched and require a manualreset if a limit is exceeded.

Email AlarmsIn addition to the mechanical alarm relays, all NEWPORTiPTX models that are on a LAN that is connected to theInternet can trigger an alarm that can be sent by email to auser or a distribution list anywhere in the world, includingan Internet enabled pager or cell phone.

Battery BackupThe iPTX-M comes with a universal ac adapter. A standard9 Volt Alkaline battery (also included) allows the device tolog data for up to 10 days without external ac power.

In locations without power or network accessibility, theiPTX-M continues logging data to its flash memory. Thestored data can later be downloaded over the Ethernet.

NEWPORT iServer products are designed andmanufactured in Santa Ana, California.
